Master's Wonders

All these years after initiation, my deepest wish was to have the blessing of being embraced and kissed by Master; and this wish came true one night.

In my dream, there were many fellow practitioners gathered at a banquet. With great joy, fireworks continuously lit up the sky; many congratulatory messages from distant worlds were also projected in the sky, as if done by laser beams.

On this occasion, Master wore a silver white gown decorated with brilliant sequins; and She embraced me and kissed my cheeks. She hugged me for such a long time that some fellow practitioners were envious and protested jealously -- they also wanted to receive the same blessing. Just then, a voice was heard saying, "Only fellow practitioners whose acts, speech and thoughts are purified will be honoured with this grace."

I am so grateful to Master for blessing me with Her divine love, and I will practice more diligently to make myself deserving of this special glory more often.

In the past few months, Master has been teaching fellow practitioners to discipline themselves, both within and without -- to be good wives, good husbands or good children. She also wanted them to set up a warm environment to produce a happy and joyous atmosphere for spiritual practice. Sister Chang, feeling strongly about Master's good intentions, has been thinking about how to take some real actions.

One day while she was meditating, she thought about the old kitchen cookware. Although they were still in good working order, they were dirty and hard to clean. It would be better just to throw them away and get new ones! Otherwise, it could be very embarrassing when they have friends and relatives to dinner.

The next morning, sister Chang dreamed that she was riding on the back of a strange beast, one that looked like an ox and a horse with red curly hair like a camel. Several children brought some colorful beast eggs and put them in front of her. While she was concentrating on those eggs, a loud noise that sounded like broken bowls and plates awakened her.

When she went to the kitchen to take a look, she found the fallen hanging cabinet and a pile of broken glass, spices, etc., on the floor. It was an eyeful of debris. She felt lucky that she wasn't in the kitchen at the time. Otherwise, she could have been hit by the large, fully packed hanging cabinet. The outcome would have been unthinkable... She felt a chill down her spine. Normally, that was the time for her to prepare breakfast. Therefore, she was very grateful to Master for the dream which kept her away from this disaster.

"Why would the hanging cabinet fall?" A thought flashed through her mind, "I cared too much about saving my own face. I disliked old things and preferred new ones. I was trying to throw them out, so they took care of themselves first."

This reminded sister Chang about what happened a few day ago. She was thinking about accepting a task at the meditation center. She thought the more she did, the more chance for mistakes. In case she made a mistake and was scolded, it would be very embarrassing. It would be better to not take the job.

That day, something strange happened. As a school teacher, when she walked into her first classroom and the whole class stood up and was ready to bow to greet her, a male student pointed at her and said, "The old beast is here again!" This surprised the entire class! That male student was even more surprised! As she walked into her second classroom, one usually quiet male student suddenly shouted at her for no reason. Her dignity as a respected teacher for twenty years was gone forever. She couldn't get over such a shock for a long time.

This time, the loud noise of the fallen cabinet awakened her. Because she was always concerned about losing face, Master used the incidents of the students and the fallen cabinet to crush her unnecessary ego and face-saving attitude.

One sister practitioner was very poor when she was young. In order to survive, she had to kill animals. Therefore, she was often disturbed by invisible beings. After she had learned the Convenient Method and was awaiting initiation, Maya, the negative power, bothered her twenty-four hours a day. It wouldn't let her meditate or sleep. It tried to entice her into breaking the precepts and eating meat. Fortunately, she was able to see Master's transformation body.

Whenever the transformation Master was not around, Maya would disturb her, even try to trick her by appearing as Master. She concentrated on her wisdom eye and recited, "My Master is the greatest enlightened being in the universe. She is omnipresent..." Then, Maya's form fell, rolled around on the floor, and crawled out the door. Therefore, she longed to see Master's transformation form all the time, and the transformation Master let her know that She is always around to protect her.

Once she couldn't see Master's transformation body so she prayed inside and the transformation Master appeared. She was very pleased and moved closer to kiss Her. Master turned Her head and became the Sixth Patriarch and stared at her as if to say, "I am a man. Dare you kiss me?" The Sixth Patriarch told her that he was very busy and disappeared.

Later in the meditation center she tried to purchase a pendant with Master's photograph. Because there were too many people, she was pushed under the service table. She said, "I want to purchase a photograph of Master in the image of the Sixth Patriarch -- the one with Master dressed as nun and without hair." The sister practitioner at the service table told her that all were sold out.

She didn't give up and continued to sit under the table. A short while later, a pendant fell right into her hand. She was so thrilled because it was exactly what she wanted, the photograph of Master in the image of the Sixth Patriarch. Certain that Master is an omnipresent living Buddha and was the Sixth Patriarch, she said, "I definitely will practice diligently in order to repay Master for saving my life."

One day, before going home after the group meditation at Hsihu, I bought an outfit from the Celestial Clothes display area. It was a western-styled dress in a gold color with black stripes, made according to Master's measurements. I tried it on, and it fitted me perfectly; all the fellow practitioners present agreed that I looked better in this outfit than the long-haired mannequin. Instantly, I understood what Master meant when She said, "It takes proper bearing to wear the Celestial Clothes." After practicing the Quan Yin Method, the positive power changes our qualities. Besides, we can make ourselves look prettier by choosing the appropriate clothes.

On the night I brought the Celestial outfit home, I dreamt that it had changed! In my vision, I saw it being matched with a dark green cape, changing the gold colored dress into a ceremonial gown, lavishly decorated with gold jewelry.

Without spending a lot, I bought in this world,my genuine heavenly outfit; it was indeed very cheap!
