Initiation is a chance that occurs once in a million years. If you don't know what it means, at least at the time you die you will know. At that time, no one is around you, and no one can accompany you. No money can buy you power. No position can protect you from hell fire. At that time, the Master is the only one that comes to you, and then you will know.

A Buddha means an Enlightened Master, who is a living being with human emotions. Besides having the emotions of an ordinary human, a Buddha also has wisdom. There is only a slight difference between us and a Buddha; we, too, have wisdom but it is yet to be opened. A person who has his/her wisdom fully opened is a Buddha. Once our wisdom is fully opened, we, too, will become Buddhas.

Wisdom is an intangible power; the Buddha Nature is an intangible quality. Therefore, the power of a real Master is also intangible. Being intangible does not mean being nonexistent. We can feel, know, and understand that this power really exists. Without this power, it would largely be a waste of time practicing any method.

Throughout Master's European lecture tour, our petite Master traveled to many countries, overworking and sparing no hardship. She not only gave lectures almost every other day in different countries, but also attended local group meditations. During Her two-day stay in Armenia, She visited orphanages, retirement homes, and the mayors and governors of different areas, attended a TV interview and press conference, etc. Such a high paced schedule is usually beyond the capacity of mortals, not to mention all the initiations given by Master after each lecture (sometimes an extra initiation was added to the schedule the next day). Think of how much karma Master had to bear for thousands of people so that they could be liberated in one lifetime, and five generations of their families could be saved! From lectures to initiations, seeds of love were sown in many souls and their spiritual consciousness was elevated. Through Her efforts, Master brought peace to the world.

Immediately after the lectures, an international retreat was held, during which Master blessed all the fellow initiates present, who numbered in the thousands. Her selfless activity during the lecture tour and retreat reflects what Master once said: "I can even die for you!" This spirit of boundlessly devoting Her love to others has moved millions of people around the world.

Episode in Geneva, Switzerland

Before the recent European Lecture Tour, Master's Celestial Jewelry collections were put on exhibit in Switzerland. Master arrived for the exhibit one day earlier than scheduled, and traveling without attendants, called the contact person just before She left the airport. Incidentally, sister Lu and her husband had come to the hotel with the contact person to meet Master. Shortly after they arrived, a taxi drove up with a lone passenger in the back seat. It was Master! As sister Lu, her husband and the contact person stepped forward to greet Master, they observed that She was in very good spirits. Master greeted them with delight and asked the contact person. "Sister, the driver's service was excellent. I want to give him a bigger tip. Do you think this is enough?" Switzerland has a fixed tipping rate, and Master wanted to be sure that She was not offering him too little. The contact person replied: "Master, it is just the right amount!" Master promptly responded, "Oh! Then that won't do! His service was excellent. I can't pay him just enough. He deserves more!" Immediately, She asked the sister to drive after the taxi in order to give the driver more money.

When Master set down Her luggage, sister Lu wondered if she should carry it up to the assigned room. While she hesitated, Master had already moved to the parking lot and gotten into a car. Just as the car was about to drive off, Master suddenly rolled down the window and said, "Hey! Don't just carry my luggage to the room. Please open it and help me sort out the things." Sister Lu was amazed that Master was so terrific that She could read her hesitating mind.

In the hotel room, sister Lu set about arranging Master's personal effects. As soon as she opened the suitcase, she also opened her eyes wide with amazement! Master had told her that She had spent only ten minutes stuffing Her things into the luggage and everything was in disorder. But what sister Lu saw was not what she had expected. Master's personal effects were neatly arranged. Her cosmetics, clothes, and shoes were well in place. Yet, Master had said that She had just thrown them into the suitcase! Sister Lu was astonished, for she could not have done better even if she had been given a couple of hours to pack.

Sister Lu's husband was initiated just last year, and had no idea about what was expected of him as an attendant, so he simply followed Master's instructions. Watching him standing to the side, Master patted a seat near Her and asked him to sit down. After a while, She asked him whether he was thirsty. The pure-minded brother nodded, so Master poured him a glass of water. She confided that She was very hungry because She had not eaten anything on the airplane. She also asked the brother whether he was hungry and then in a very natural manner, Master took a slice of bread, spread some jam on it, folded a napkin around it, and handed it to the brother. She seemed to be saying : "I'm hungry, and so must you be, aren't you?" The brother later noted that when Master is with someone, She attends to that person with such concentration that he feels as if he is the only one She loves in the world. This love from Her heart is absolutely natural and unpretentious.

Later, more than a dozen fellow practitioners came to the hotel to see Master. At that time, She was resting in Her room, but when the disciples arrived, She came down to meet them. Of course, the joy of the disciples was indescribable. Hiding Her hands behind Her back, Master smiled and asked, "Have you been wondering why I haven't come down here?" The disciples nodded, and Master laughed, "It's no wonder I was feeling so restless up there in my room. You have been urging me with your thinking; I had no choice but to come down quickly." As She spoke, She produced a box of candy from behind Her back and shared it with everyone.

As the disciples joyfully savored Master's love, Master disclosed that She would like to be an ordinary tourist for half a day, since She had arrived early. She asked if anyone would like to accompany Her to an ancient castle nearby. Obviously, it was an invitation that no one would decline, so the initiates in the crowd prepared themselves for the trip.

A brother initiate assigned to be Master's chauffeur had just driven a limousine back from a car rental company. Expecting Master to arrive the next day, he had rented the car a day early in order to have it washed and cleaned completely, and have the seat covers changed. However, he was pleasantly surprised when the manager of the rental company told him, "We have a brand new Mercedes Benz that has just cleared customs. It is still on the container rack. You may have it if you want." The brother was amazed because rental companies rarely provide clients with brand new cars, not to mention ones that have never been used at all! Most probably, it was due to God's sympathy for Master's experience of hardships that Hes arranged the car for Her! Although the brother was not aware that Master had already arrived, he drove the new limousine to the hotel, hoping to get ready to welcome Her the next day. Little did he realize that he had gotten the car back right on time!

When he showed the shining limousine to Master in the parking lot, Her face glowed with delight and surprise; She looked like a lovely, innocent child seeing the sight of a fanciful toy. She asked, "Is this car for me?" The brother was about to get into the driver's seat as he replied, "Yes, Master." Master was absolutely delighted. "This is great! This is such a marvelous car that I will drive it myself." Her petite figure in the driver's seat made it seem as though the limousine was moving without anyone at its wheel. Several blessed European disciples had the good fortune to travel in this car, while others drove their own cars to the castle.

Master alighted in front of the castle, took off Her shoes, and walked barefoot up a small path. Walking barefoot is good for the health," She advised. The disciples accompanied Her and were enchanted by the beautiful scenery. Suddenly, Master turned around, looked at the camera in sister Lu's hand, and said smilingly, "Why isn't anyone taking pictures of this marvelous scenery? Let me act like a Japanese tourist who takes photos everywhere he goes."

With that, sister Lu started taking photos of Master and the fellow practitioners. Since she was using a very simple automatic camera, sometimes it was difficult to get a good angle, as when using a professional camera. Very often, she had to adjust her posture to get everyone in the picture. Watching sister Lu's slightly plump figure leaning against the castle wall, Master was worried for her. "Be careful! Don't fall over!" "Don't worry, Master! I am too stable to fall off!" Hearing her reply, Master remarked humorously, "In that case, take care not to ruin the castle wall by sitting on it!"

After walking for a while, Master felt thirsty and asked if anyone had brought any water, but no one had. When an Aulacese sister said that there was some mineral water in the car of Ursula, one of the contact persons, sister Lu turned back to fetch the water, but Master stopped her. "I'm not that thirsty," She said, "So, there's no need to fetch the water just for me. I can drink it later."

When the group was leaving the castle after an enjoyable tour, sister Lu remembered that Master had been thirsty and fetched a bottle of mineral water for Her. By that time, an attendant had already brought Master some water, but when She saw sister Lu with the bottle of water in her hands, She asked, "Is this for me?" "Yes," said sister Lu. Although Master was no longer thirsty, She responded softly, "I want to drink from the bottle you're holding." She opened the bottle, took a sip, and replaced the cap so that the disciples could share the remaining water. Sister Lu thought Master was very considerate in expressing Her appreciation by drinking the water that she had fetched.

The next day, Master went to the home of a German disciple to handle some matters. When She saw sister Lu and another contact person, sister Liu, slicing lantern peppers very slowly in the kitchen, She laughed, "You are doing it too slowly. Let me cut them." The two sisters were amazed as they watched Master slice quickly and accurately through the peppers with the dexterity of a professional chef. The slices were ready in no time! Seeing sister Lu's surprised look and gaping mouth, Master asked, "Why are you so surprised? You don't think I can cook?" Sister Lu replied, "I really thought that You couldn't...." With a laugh, Master revealed that She is a great cook, only She doesn't have time for it now.

Sister Liu's husband was not an initiate, yet he was always ready to work for Master and the local center. Here in Switzerland, he was again helping out during Master's trip. Worried that She might not have a car to use, he had his car washed, and replaced the leather seat covers with new and more comfortable fabric ones. One day, when Master was having a meal with some fellow disciples, sister Liu mentioned that her husband was very good to her and very eager to help with Master's work. Only one thing upset her-he would not take initiation. She was troubled by the thought that she was not doing well enough in her spiritual practice that she couldn't convince him to be initiated.

Master's eyes turned red with sympathy when She heard the sister's helpless words of frustration. "I am very touched to know that your husband loves you so much. Do you know how difficult it is to find such a loving person? If he loves you, that's as good as loving me; the more he loves you, the more he loves me, too! The initiation is not important; his precious love is more important! Why should you mind whether he is initiated or not?" As She spoke, tears rolled down Her cheeks. The atmosphere was a bit sad. "My tears have ruined my make-up; I have to do some touch-up. Carry on with your chatting," Master said, and left the room.

The disciples continued with their conversation. After a while, Master returned and said, "Just now in the washroom I could hear you laughing, and I felt so delighted. Do you know that your happiness is infectious? No matter how far apart we are, we are always together. I am happy when you are happy and I am sad when you are sad. Therefore, I hope that you will always be happy, because only when you are happy am I at my happiest!"

On another occasion, sister Lu and sister Liu brought breakfast to Master at Her hotel. But when they arrived, they found that Master had already ordered breakfast. "Perhaps this breakfast is not needed after all," sister Lu thought. "Is that breakfast? Do you have anything special for me?" Master asked. "The two breakfasts are more or less the same, except that we have a pot of Japanese tea, which the hotel didn't offer." Master was disappointed. "I wanted to have a Chinese-style breakfast, and was wondering whether you would bring me some congee. Anyhow, you didn't."

"It's too late to prepare congee now. We will bring some tomorrow," sister Liu replied. "Never mind. It was just an idea that came across my mind; I may not want it tomorrow," said Master. "Things are often unnecessary when the timing is not right. Even if you bring the congee tomorrow, I may not want it then."

Then, Master invited the sisters to have breakfast in Her room. Since there was no place for the two to sit, they knelt by the bed. But it hurt Master to see them eat breakfast that way. "Please, don't kneel. Get a chair," She said, pointing to a chair stacked with documents. Sister Lu said, "No, thank you, Master. If I move your documents, you may not be able to find them later." But Master lifted the quilt on Her bed and said, "All right, then sit here while you have your breakfast." "Oh, no! Master." "Why not? Will something happen if you sit here for a while? You won't die tomorrow if you do!" "We are not afraid to die; we are worried that You may not be able to sleep after we have sat on the bed because we are not good enough in meditation and spiritual cultivation."

Master sighed in response, "Honestly, it doesn't matter to me whether your magnetic field is good or not. I don't mind how bad your vibrations are. What I really dread is your mind. It is your mind that separates us. I dread fighting a battle with your mind." It is indeed true that our minds have built a high wall to stop the inner communication between us and Master. It is indeed due to our tricky minds that think we do not deserve Master's love. To Master, no matter what happens, we are always Her most beloved children. And to Master, She didn't truly mind what breakfast we had prepared for Her; it was only a chance for Her to soften our stone hard minds. Thanks to the blessings received from sister Lu's close proximity to Master during the Switzerland trip, she has changed her views toward Master. Through trivial and insignificant matters, she has deeply realized Master's infinite love and sublime inner qualities.

Moscow, Russia

Local Russian initiates and fellow practitioners from around the world had only ten days to organize Master's lecture in Moscow. It was a difficult task, but with Her blessings and grace, all the difficulties gradually vanished like soap bubbles.

We were able to rent one of the best halls in Moscow for the lecture venue, and the deputy director in charge, a woman who had a negative attitude about this kind of work, became fully interested in organizing our program after seeing Master's photos, News magazines and other literature. Then we were again convinced of Master's power in overcoming difficulties and obstacles.

With Master's blessings and the cooperation of our brothers and sisters from other countries, the practitioners from Russia, who had never been engaged in this kind of work before, accomplished the task of preparing for the lecture. When the Quan Yin messenger in charge of organizing the Moscow lecture arrived in the city, we got powerful support, which was strengthened by other messengers and foreign practitioners who rushed to Moscow as "parachute troops" coming to our aid. As experienced practitioners, they set living examples for our local brothers and sisters. We had no time to talk to the foreign initiates, or even to learn their names, but we felt their love, kindness, and strong desire to help. Their contribution in organizing Master's lecture in Moscow was great.

Within a short time, we printed leaflets, handbills and posters, and put three advertisements in the most popular newspapers in Russia. On the 12th night and 13th morning of our preparation period, we also were able to advertise Master's lecture on a popular Moscow radio station.

We were very busy with work and didn't know when Master would arrive in Moscow. Master was also extremely busy with Her lecture itinerary, so She asked us not to organize a meeting at the airport. Master arrived in Moscow on the 12th of May, Her birthday, and this was a great honor for us, although no celebration was held.

Master arrived at the lecture hall around 7:30 p.m., on May 13 in a charming and beautiful dress. The lecture began with traditional Russian flower and fruit offerings, and a speech by a practitioner. Two translators were sitting in the front row and worked in turns. But when the practitioner started her speech, there was a pause and a Quan Yin messenger asked me to go up to Master and translate for Her. Within a few seconds, I found myself sitting at Master's feet, and it was like a dream. I later couldn't believe that I had had the chance to sit so close to Master and translate for Her. It was a great pleasure and honor for me.

Master's lecture impressed the audience very powerfully. During the question-and-answer session, we found many handwritten messages from questioners expressing love and gratitude to Master. The assistant director of the hall told me after the lecture, "Master started the lecture from a Russian bazaar and ended with the elevation of the audience to Heaven." Several people had very good spiritual experiences during Master's lecture, which I heard them describing to others while walking in the hall.

After the lecture, an initiation was held. Although it was very late, and the local public transportation had finished operating for the day, the people thought only about the initiation. And after initiation, some people stayed in the hall till morning. The first meeting with Master and other brothers and sisters from various countries will be in my heart forever. Thank You Master, and thank you brothers and sisters for this marvelous and unforgettable experience!

When someone visits a country for the first time, he or she is considered to be a guest. I came to Your lecture to hear what a guest would have to say. Instead, I discovered that You came to Greece as a great hostess who held before us a spiritual feast and a bouquet! My heart was touched when You reminded us of our origins... very divine indeed! And I wanted to share with You the overflowing feelings in my heart! Thank You for the great and eternal truths and the path towards them. I love You, and may I become like You one day, to share with the beloved human race the secret of their ascendance!

Since most of the disciples on our working team during Master's European Lecture Tour did not know Greek, we hired some local translators to help with Her lecture in Athens. Their major tasks included lecture interpretation and initiation registration and screening; their minor jobs involved editing the content of the notices posted in the lecture area. They worked wholeheartedly and with great patience; some even stayed with us late into the night until the end of the initiation. We thank them for their enthusiastic assistance and support, so that all the tasks related to the lecture were finished smoothly. One of the translators had been longing for Master's lecture, and it turned out that he received initiation that day. The other translator learned the Convenient Method.

During Her lecture in Rome, Italy, Master gave a very touching speech, mentioning Jesus and remembering the treatment humanity that had given Him. She cried a bit, and I noticed the tears on Her face. At some point at the beginning of the lecture, Master congratulated the translator, saying that she was very good, and this was a very big relief to the Quan Yin messenger, the local initiates and me, because we had searched diligently for the best translator available.

When I scheduled the translator to come to our place for an interview, the messenger asked her if she could be a vegetarian for at least two or three days before the lecture, and surprisingly, she said that she had been a vegetarian since the age of six. We were astonished and petrified again when we asked if she knew spiritual terminology and she replied that each week she wrote reports on the Buddhist Scriptures for a local newspaper. Wow! There was nothing to say - we were very, very happy, and she also wanted less money than all the other translators we had called!

At the very beginning of our work in Budapest to promote Master's lecture, we only distributed flyers in Hungarian, which none of us understood. Once, a group of young people walked over to us excitedly after they had read the flyers, pointed to the first line on the flyer, and then pointed to the sky and the ground. I was totally at a loss to interpret their "Zen language." So I pointed to the time and location of Master's lecture as a response, and they left happily. After I returned to our residential area and looked at the Chinese version of the flyers, I realized that the first line meant "Heaven Is Here And Now." Given the war situation in nearby Kosovo at the time, Master's words were filled with power and hope for the local people. No wonder they were so happy!

Sometimes, Master's power would send non-disciples to help us with our work. For example, one day we met a lady when we were distributing flyers who happily told us that her son was also a disciple! She then asked us where we were from, when we had arrived, and so on. After we answered her questions, she excitedly said that her son was the one who had picked us up at the airport. Then she led us to a supermarket where big crowds of people were gathered. Following her, we saw her walk with a grocery basket in her hand. What a sweet mother! There was also a very young girl who came over to help us. She first distributed flyers and then sample booklets!

One gentleman took a sample booklet from his pocket, and told us that he had read Master's books two years earlier and had been waiting for Master ever since. On this occasion, he had driven two hundred kilometers in order to go to the lecture and receive initiation. In addition, his wife and child applied to learn the Convenient Method. Another gentleman who had learned the Convenient Method in Bulgaria came to Hungary to receive initiation.

The Hungarian people were very sweet and friendly. Whether they took a flyer or not, they would always say "koszonom," which means thank you in Hungarian. If disciples down the street wanted to give flyers to people who had already received one, the people would take their flyers out of their pockets and tell us that they already had one. Some people had full hands, but when they saw the flyers, they would ask us to put them into their bags. There was one really sweet gentleman, who, when we wanted to give him a flyer, asked unbelievingly and with excitement, "Is that for me?" When we answered, "Yes"! He kissed the face of one of our disciples on the street to express his gratitude.

Finally, the day of Master's lecture came, and many people were wandering around in front of the venue before the starting time. As soon as the door was opened, people rushed in. Fortunately, we had prepared numerous sample booklets and magazines at the door, because many people were very eager to receive the beautiful magazines, and some collected different ones for the pictures of Master inside, and on the covers. Before the lecture, many people already wanted to register for initiation and the Convenient Method. Some people even brought pictures for initiation with them, so we could tell how eager they were.

We were extremely busy after Master's lecture, as people crowded the registration area to register for both initiation and the Convenient Method. And those standing behind in the registration lines raised both hands very high to ask for registration forms. As soon as they had filled out the forms, they would rush to our desk for interviews, with longing and eagerness on their faces. When we asked them whether they would be able to keep the precepts, they all nodded with assurance.

After the lecture, we all continued working till late into the night. And then, suddenly, Master appeared. What a happy surprise! We all surrounded Her, and She touched our heads and hands with great love! Some disciples said to Her: "Master, You've worked hard!" And Master replied: "We work together; we all worked hard!" Then She added: "We succeeded! We are OK this time!" Her words were instantly followed by thunderous applause, as we all felt touched and full of peace.

A young lady who had missed the initiation in Warsaw, Poland, came all the way to Prague, the Czech Republic for initiation. When our working staff asked her if she really understood the five precepts that were required to follow for receiving initiation, she seriously read the precepts aloud one by one with her faltering English. Everyone was deeply touched by her sincerity, and felt very happy to see her finally hold blessed food and the new ID card of a Quan Yin practitioner, as she happily walked out after initiation.

I am a 34 year old native of Germany living and working in Hong Kong. After learning eight years ago about the existence of living Masters, I became more and more determined that once I found such a Master, I would not hesitate to become a disciple. In February of this year, while vacationing on the island of Palawan in the Philippines, I found Issue # 90 of the Supreme Master Ching Hai News and was immediately captured by its contents. Upon my return to Hong Kong, I accessed one of Master's Internet home pages, studied its contents, and became a strict vegetarian the same day, realizing that the sooner I could begin keeping a vegetarian diet, the sooner I could become initiated.

Just at the time I had completed the three month purification period (of course, I was then already a Convenient Method practitioner), Master's European Lecture Tour was announced. Since I didn't want to wait for initiation a single day longer, I decided to take a week off from work and fly to Europe with a group from the Hong Kong Center. We reached Helsinki just after midnight - the day of Master's lecture. I think that by that time, everyone in our group was eagerly looking forward to finally seeing Master. Although I was a new 'face' in the group, everyone took care of me and treated me so nicely that I felt very comfortable. About one hour before the lecture began, I took my seat in the lecture hall. Guess where! I dared to sit in the first row, directly in front of Masters' sofa, thus being at the closest possible distance from Her!!

The results of the lecture and the response of the audience to Masters' teachings were great: Many people from all generations queued up to register for either initiation or Convenient Method training. Before I went to bed that night, after initiation, I meditated together with another brother. Thinking about the suffering of Master for the sake of delivering sentient beings and saving the world, I suddenly started to cry inside, and tears rolled down my face. Being raised as the oldest of four sons, I can say that being tough and never showing any signs of weakness were always my strengths, and crying was something I really have not done since childhood. In that moment I realized that inside I had changed and that there was something that I had forgotten or suppressed for a long time. The crying re-occurred the next morning, again when thinking about Master's sacrifices for humanity.

Later, I helped with the lecture tour work in several other stops, and wish to thank all my brothers and sisters for the wonderful experience of oneness that I felt throughout the whole trip. Master, I have no words to express my eternal gratitude to You for accepting me as Your disciple. I will try my best to be a worthy one.

On the day after Her lecture in Sweden, Master took a taxi and went to the Stockholm group meditation Center. Probably due to exhaustion from Her extensive travel schedule and the weariness of Her body, Master seemed to stagger when She walked. It appeared to me that Master's body was very frail. When I greeted Her at the entrance to the Center, I offered Her an electric boiler, which She had requested in order to boil drinking water in the hotel whenever She wanted to. Although Master looked very fragile and weak, She still bowed to me and kept saying, "Thank you, sister! Thank you, sister!" In my view, it was just a minor thing , yet Master showed Her gratitude wholeheartedly. I will never forget Her humble gesture!

After Master stepped into the Center, in less than a minute, She stood up from Her seat to bless the newly initiated fellow practitioners, plus some old ones, one by one. Some of the initiates present were so touched by Master's actions that they began to cry out loud. Master patiently comforted them and embraced them. At that moment, Her face showed only compassion and a loving smile, as if She were a totally different person than the one whom I had just seen outside the door.

Watching Master and enjoying this touching moment, I forgot to close my eyes and meditate. I felt that I had experienced a brand new level. Master's words were echoing in my mind - "Just let go of your small self and then you'll be great.

During Master's European Lecture Tour, I was the only member of our working team who had an international driver's license, and so it became my duty to rent a van and drive for the team. It was not a simple task to drive in strange European cities, because the language was different in each country, which made us confused while trying to look at maps and drive at the normal driving speed. Although another brother was assisting me, I sometimes lost my way. But thanks to Master's help, it didn't take long before I could find the right way, and what is better, many short cuts, which seemed like a miracle! At first, I thought it was just coincidence, but similar things happened twice or three times in all the cities we worked in. Each time I lost my way, I didn't worry and believed the one who was driving was not me but Master. Master also helped me to escape from areas of congested traffic without my noticing it.

One afternoon in Sweden, I had to pick up some video team members at the airport and take them to a certain hotel with only its phone number and address to guide me. After searching the area of the hotel on the map with the other two brothers, I found it was very familiar to me because I had driven that way more than fifteen times before while transporting our working team. So I was confident about where I was driving. But on the way to the hotel from the airport, I suddenly lost my way, even though I drove while concentrating on my wisdom eye. I turned and turned to find the right way, but the car still went in a strange direction and I was at a loss.

At that moment, a brother from the video team shouted to stop the car because the scenery in that place was what they were looking forward to taking videos of. In a short time, we hurriedly removed the video equipment from the car to catch the scene at that moment. Before a colorful sunset and picturesque clouds, two ships were crossing each other to create the background for a group of elegant, traditional Swedish buildings lit up one by one by the sun's rays. If we had passed the place a few minutes earlier or later, we would not have caught this scene. I thus came to realize why I had seemed to lose my way. It was not losing my way, but Master guiding us to that place at the right moment. After that, I found that I could easily drive the video team to the hotel.

The Slovenian and Croatian people who attended Master's lecture in Slovenia were very warm and receptive to Her words, and to the suggestions of the working team members who interviewed people for initiation and Convenient Method training. As I spoke to those who wished to learn the Convenient Method, I could feel the intensity of their enthusiasm. One young woman, who was struggling to get off of drugs through a rehabilitation program, expressed a great deal of interest in Master's teachings, and appreciation for our efforts. I assured her that with Master's powerful blessing energy she could surely overcome her drug habit, advance spiritually, and eventually move on to practicing the Quan Yin Method.

Other local people seemed very receptive as well, and asked many questions about spiritual practice. I felt a special affinity with the people of this area, since my grandparents came from neighboring Croatia and the Croatian and Slovenian languages and cultures are very similar. With Master's help, I began remembering a few phrases in Croatian that I had learned as a child, and used them with the lecture attendees, which seemed to create a closer bond between us.

One Slovenian man, who was especially warmhearted and excited about learning meditation, helped me translate at our table when the initiate who had been helping me went to translate for Master. He seemed filled with Master's blessing energy, and joyfully worked with me to handle the large group of people applying for the Convenient Method.

Several people with whom we had talked approached us after learning the Convenient Method to thank us warmly for our help and for the chance to meet Master. My wonderful experience in Ljubljana makes me want to go back to Slovenia and Croatia someday to help local initiates continue spreading Master's teachings.

The people of Ireland are quite friendly and talkative, and we had great success in promoting Master's lecture there. Many conversed with us about Master and Her teachings, and read the lecture materials with interest.

After a trip to Belfast in Northern Ireland to distribute flyers and put up posters, we did the same in Dublin and its suburbs, establishing a good rapport with the people of both cities. Our working group had learned well how to erect posters quickly, and we plastered Dublin with Master's image. One young Irish man seemed highly impressed with Master's teachings, since he came up to us in the street and asked to have a personal copy of one of Master's posters that we were carrying.

On another occasion, a group of young Irishmen approached us and said they were amazed at how quickly and efficiently our working teams had put up posters and distributed flyers all over Dublin. We informed him that the Quan Yin Method energizes the body, mind and spirit, and thus we were helped by Master's blessing power to work quickly. The young men conversed with us for several minutes about our practice, and seemed eager to attend Master's lecture.

On lecture day, I worked at interviewing people for the Convenient Method, and many seemed eager to overcome their desire for meat, fish and alcoholic beverages, and eventually get initiated into the Quan Yin Method. As in the other countries where we worked, Master's loving energy filled the venue, and adults and children alike seemed to glow with Her spiritual light. Master stopped to speak to both the new initiates and the Convenient Method trainees, and this personal touch seemed to make people love Master even more. Many beamed joyfully and thanked us warmly as they left the venue.

On June 7, we boarded a Thai Airlines flight from Taipei to Bangkok, where we changed flights, destined for Europe. The weather was fine when the aircraft entered European airspace in the early morning of the next day. I was sitting in a window seat, when suddenly a spectacular scene under the wing of the aircraft met my eyes. Two large spherical rainbows, one circumscribing the other, radiated outwards in dazzling colors that changed even as we flew on. Red, yellow, green, and many other colors of the light spectrum shone and faded with time. The scene lasted several minutes, and all the fellow initiates on that flight witnessed this natural wonder.

I referred to the air route and found that we were flying over the embattled Balkan Peninsula at the time. Then, at the three-day retreat following Her London lecture, Master shared with us that a peace treaty had been signed between the two warring parties right at the same time when the European Lecture Tour had ended. It struck me then that the spherical rainbows were signaling the return of peace. As Master once said, "Wherever a great spiritual practitioner goes, his/her magnetic field will bless that area and purify the atmosphere." The one-month European Lecture Tour not only brought the word of God to Europe, but also led this region toward a peaceful and brilliant future.

On the day of the lecture, guests were scheduled to arrive at the venue at 6pm; but it wasn't until 4pm that the working team was allowed to enter the venue and begin to arrange things. That meant they had to finish all the arrangements and decorating within two hours. All the working staff members prepared gingerly, feeling the pressure of this task. At 4pm sharp, all the items that had been placed at the gate beforehand were moved into the venue. Although the working staff members from the two previous countries were there to help out, the two-hour time limit had made this an emergency situation, and there was not enough manpower.

Towards the end, there was no time for anyone to think about how to place a certain vase to make it look good, or what color to go with a particular piece of cloth to make it stand out. It all had to be done as an instant reaction; once the object was in your hand, you had to put it up right away, because there was no time to think slowly. Meanwhile, it was not the mind that was working; it all came from instinctive reactions. Even though some areas seemed perfect, the working team members were able to finish this challenging task in a very hurried situation. Besides feeling great relief, there was a sense of joyfulness - we finally made it! This happiness was indescribable, and probably only those who experienced it were able to understand it!

It was an amazing day! And in brief, here are some segments of reactions from the audience. A member of a religious order said that he had never heard the subject of spirituality so succinctly explained. Everything Master Ching Hai said was very true. This is what all the world's religions were trying to explain and She had done it so simply.

A visitor from Germany was exceedingly disappointed that she was unable to stay for initiation, and had to leave immediately. She hoped she would be able to attend a subsequent lecture, expressed admiration for Supreme Master Ching Hai, and was tearful at having to leave early.

Some from Asia saw Master bathed in a bright white light and were quite overcome by the experience.

A newly-created initiate from Uganda wept and said that she had seen Heaven, and been to a place she had never been to before. She felt indescribably happy.

Accounts of the London International Retreat

The red heart shaped pin received at the London International Retreat was the perfect symbol of my experience there.

To be Blessed by Master at the Retreat was an unexpected Joy, to be Blessed twice by Master, I thought was a wonderful mistake, and moments later, when I was blessed a third time, I understood that Master makes no mistakes. She knows - and the last defenses of my world-weary heart melted away... I felt like a flower opening to the Sun after a long winter... a late bloomer. Each tear fell quietly like the blood of forgotten heartaches that had sealed my heart away from true love. Cleansed and newly bare, my heart tasted the Divine Love of a Master, and I wept anew.

Los Angeles, U.S.A. (Originally in English) In a small corner of Europe exists the ancient country of Armenia, a Holy Land where the Biblical Noah's Ark landed on the summit of Mount Ararat. It is a beautiful, picturesque country that many consider an open air museum for its great architectural wonders and treasures. Armenians have a rich cultural heritage and are a deeply religious people. As the first country in the world to adopt Christianity as its state religion, it will soon celebrate its 1700th anniversary. Due to their sincerity and faith in God, the prayers of the Armenian people were finally answered with Supreme Master Ching Hai's visit on the auspicious occasion of Her European lecture tour.

Although Supreme Master Ching Hai visited Armenia for only two days, May 15 and 16, 1999, She warmed the country with Her love and compassion, leaving behind many sweet memories in the hearts of the people. The citizens of Armenia are filled with gratitude for the great humanitarian work that Master has done for their country. More importantly, they recognize that Master has left behind the "Supreme Method" called Quan Yin, which She offers unconditionally to those who are ready to connect with their inner Most High or Supreme Self.

The visit of Supreme Master Ching Hai to Armenia would not have been realized if it had not been for the efforts of Nadezdha Sarkisian. Ms. Sarkisian is a Congresswoman in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and an internationally acclaimed popular singer who has worked with other famous artists such as Charles Aznavour and I. Resnik. She is particularly known throughout Armenia and Russia. Master holds a book of photographs of ancient Armenian monuments and buildings by Mr. Martin Shahbazian, a photographer of the Armenpress.

Ms. Sarkisian first learned of Supreme Master Ching Hai through a close Armenian friend who attended the benefit concert "One World...Of Peace Through Music" held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. in December of 1998. Recognizing the invaluable opportunity of receiving the venerable Supreme Master Ching Hai in her country, Ms. Sarkisian wasted no time in preparing a letter of invitation for Master to visit Armenia. Ms. Sarkisian worked meticulously with the Sharm Company, one of the biggest and most well-known firms in Russia and Armenia, to make sure that all the details of Master's visit were taken care of. After over two months of organizing, Ms. Sarkisian was finally rewarded with the acceptance and arrival of Supreme Master Ching Hai in Armenia. From Master's lecture to Her meetings with mayors, to a live broadcast of an interview on Armenian National TV, to an enchanting evening of music in honor of Master's visit, Ms. Sarkisian did a beautiful job of receiving Supreme Master Ching Hai in the most befitting manner.

The day Supreme Master Ching Hai first arrived in Yerevan, the bustling capital of Armenia, She was welcomed with a shower of rain, purifying the whole city and washing the stone masonry of the medieval buildings, which have not been touched by rainfall during the summer season for the past five years.

Lecture

On the morning of Saturday, May 15, 1999, in front of the most prestigious hotel in the country, the Hotel Armenia, a crowd of people, including policemen, bodyguards, members of the press, and the organizers themselves, waited to greet Master and accompany Her to the lecture hall, the Komitas House of Chamber Music, the "center of Armenian culture."

At 10:00 am, Supreme Master Ching Hai arrived at the lecture hall in a white Mercedes Benz with police escorts and bodyguards, all arranged by the organizers. The members of the media crew who waited for Master at the lecture site excitedly rushed forward to capture Her arrival. Children dressed in traditional Armenian costumes attentively stood in front of the entrance hall and greeted Master as She entered. The children respectfully bowed to Master, and following the tradition of welcoming guests to their country, offered bread and flowers as they escorted Her through the hall onto the stage. More than 1,500 guests in the hall, some with no chairs to sit in, stood up and applauded cheerfully as Master walked up to the stage.

Supreme Master Ching Hai embraces the children, who, in traditional Armenian style, welcomed Her to Her lecture at the Komitas House of Chamber Music.

During the lecture, Master shared with the attentive guests Her wisdom about how to live a happier life by contacting God, and reminded them that each one has God inside. She said, "Why do we have to undergo so much unhappiness, so much lack of spiritual wisdom? Why? And sometimes we pray a lot, and very, very sincerely, but we feel that God does not answer. Why? I have been shown how to contact God directly, and I have been ordered by God also to show it to you so that you can communicate with Hirm directly every day. You can see Hirm, you can hear Hirm, you can love Hirm, and you can feel loved by Hirm." As one of the newspapers, the Armenian Business Weekly, said, "...We need this Method (Quan Yin Method) no less than other people in the world because it makes us look within ourselves to discover our greatness."

Everyone was deeply impressed by Supreme Master Ching Hai, not only for Her wisdom and benevolence but also for Her many artistic talents. The guests, many of whom were important colleagues of the organizers and the music hall director, included people from many walks of life, such as doctors, lawyers, artists, poets, and musicians. At the adjacent art exhibition hall, they witnessed some of Master's artworks, including paintings, clothing, jewelry and lanterns. The consensus among the guests was that Master is definitely an extraordinary woman. Her ingenious creations unfold but a fraction of Her inner power. The devotion She puts into bettering the world through love is simply amazing. "She is another Mother Teresa who embraces and helps everyone regardless of race or religion," exclaimed one of the attendees. Those who attended the lecture took with them Master's lecture tapes, CDs, books, and/or entertainment videos. Also, they received sample booklets and magazines to further learn about Supreme Master Ching Hai's teachings.

Ms. Vardue Khachatrian, a world renowned Armenian opera singer, sings songs for Master. Mr. Sarkis Nadjarian, a famous television reporter, presenting Supreme Master Ching Hai with a clock made of Armenia's national stone as a gift from the Komitas House of Chamber Music. Supreme Master Ching Hai contributing US$30,000 to the Komitas House of Chamber Music.

The lecture ended with a gift from Mr. Robert Sahakian, director of the Komitas House of Chamber Music, which surprised Supreme Master Ching Hai and delighted the audience members. From the beginning, Mr. Sahakian had shown great dedication and pride in helping to organize the lecture event for Master. He worked continuously without rest until the day of the lecture. He stated that he would like to do something special and memorable for Master during Her visit to Armenia, especially at his music hall. And so, Mr. Sahakian made arrangements for the famous Armenian opera singer, Ms. Vardue Khachatrian, a recipient of the International Music Award, to sing two songs, "Ocean of Love" and "Suma Ching Hai," in dedication to Supreme Master Ching Hai after the lecture.

Mr. Sahakian particularly chose the song "Ocean of Love" with lyrics and music by Master, because he believed it beautifully portrays Her love for humankind. Accompanied by Svetlana Avetisyan on the hall's grand organ, Ms. Khachatrian's voice, without microphones, soared high, and Supreme Master Ching Hai's lyrics resonated throughout the hall. Receiving thunderous applause, Ms. Khachatrian went on to sing "SUMA CHING HAI" in her operatic style. (This song was written by the famous Au Lacese composer Andy Q. Le, and specially dedicated to Supreme Master Ching Hai at the benefit concert "A Journey Through Aesthetic Realms" held on December 27, 1997 in Washington D.C).

Mr. Sahakian ended the lecture with another thank you gift to Master, a precious national stone clock as a token of appreciation for Her visit to his country. The gift was presented to Master by famous television reporter, Mr. Sarkis Nadjarian. Touched by the dedication and Mr. Sahakian's sincerity, Master spontaneously contributed US$30,000 to the hall.

Not expecting such a gift, Mr. Sahakian was very moved. He profoundly thanked Master for Her generosity and kindness, stating that the money would go toward renovating the music hall for the enhancement of future performances. This had always been his wish, but he had never had the financial budget to do so. Fortunately, his sincerity and kindness had touched the "Most High," and he was rewarded. One of his colleagues expressed to him afterwards, "God has been touched by your sincerity and dedication! That's why Hes sent you the money through Supreme Master Ching Hai. Hes finally answered your prayers!" All of the staff members at the music hall were very touched and grateful to Master.

After the lecture, Supreme Master Ching Hai was led to the Tzitsernakaberd Memorial. After a half-mile walk to the center of the monument, Master took a moment of silence to pray. She placed a large floral bouquet near the Memorial's eternal flame and was then led into the Tzitsernakaberd museum for a tour by its director, Mr. Lavrenty Barseghyan, and Ms. Astghik Yedigarian, the museum guide. At the end of the tour, Supreme Master Ching Hai placed a cash contribution of more than US$3,000 in the museum's contribution box and signed the guest book with words of goodwill.

Supreme Master Ching Hai then continued Her journey with a two hour drive on a bumpy, winding road to Gjumry (Leninakan), one of the Armenian cities devastated by the 1988 earthquake in which 25,000 lives were lost. Mayor Michael Vardanyan and Governor Shirak S. Petrossyan of Gjumry were there to greet Master as She arrived, followed by a police car, the lecture organizers, the press, security personnel, and a technical crew. More Armenian children dressed in traditional outfits offered bread and flowers to Master to show respect to their esteemed guest. In the meeting room, Mayor Vardanyan offered Master an oil painting entitled "The Winter in Gjumry" by the well-known painter Shant Sarkisian. Master then presented them with a 24K gold lighter and a surprise contribution of US$100,000 to the city.

Overwhelmed by the generous contribution, Mayor Vardanyan and Governor Petrossyan repeatedly thanked Master for Her kindness and benevolence to the citizens of Gjumry, who have suffered for the last ten years due to the tragic 1988 disaster. They asked Her for permission to use the money to restore the city and build a children's school. Master replied to the Mayor and Governor that they should use the contribution for whatever they felt was necessary and best for the city. She said that it was God's money and that She is only a tool of God - the more She gives out, the more God gives back to Her. Master also gave them an additional US$10,000 in cash. However, Mayor Vardanyan and Governor Petrossyan asked for Master's permission to divide the amount and give US$5,000 to the Orphanage Home of Gjumry and the other US$5,000 to the Elderly Home and Internet of Gjumry.

Mayor Vardanyan and Governor Petrossyan then accompanied Master to the orphanage and elderly homes, where members of the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association awaited to distribute the gifts that they had arranged, including clothing, toiletries, blankets, candies and crackers. Master personally handed a gift to each and every resident and embraced them with a hug. She sat down and played with little babies in their playpens and children near miniature desks. The director of the orphanage, Ms. Ruzanna Avakyan, also presented Master with a painting as a token of love.

Afterwards, the Mayor and Governor escorted Master to "Amenaprkich," which means "Most Saved Church" in Armenian. The church is in the process of being rebuilt after the destruction caused by the 1988 earthquake, and it is hoped that the reconstruction will be completed by the year 2001 for the 1700th anniversary of Christianity in Armenia.

At the Elderly Home and Internet, the director, Ms. Olya Mkrtchyan, had prepared a piece of artwork handmade by the residents to present to Master. When Master arrived, the children of the Shirak region sang several songs for Her. There, She made another contribution of US$10,000 and personally distributed gifts to the Elderly Home residents. Before She left, Master requested that the director take care of these elderly people for Her. She said, "They are my parents, and God will not forget them in Heaven."

Master then continued on another two-hour drive to Vanadzor (Kirovakan), the next earthquake ravaged city that still has not recovered from the tragic 1988 disaster. The children at the Orphanage Home in Vanadzor were anxiously awaiting Master, and upon Her arrival, they delightfully performed traditional songs and dances for Her. After their performance, they presented Master with a framed cross-stitched artwork that they had made by hand. Master thanked and hugged each one of them for their beautiful performance and gave everyone a gift bag. In addition to the gifts, She contributed US$10,000 to the orphanage. The director of the orphanage, Mr. Ashik Harutyunyan, expressed his deepest gratitude for all Her love.

Next, on Her charitable path, Master went to visit the home for the elderly, Aznavour Pour L'Armenie, where She played a game of bingo and won! She gave each resident a gift bag and comforted them with Her gentle words. With Her boundless generosity, She also contributed US$10,000 to the home. Not expecting such a large contribution, the director of the home, Ms. Ruzanna Azetisyan, was astounded. She thanked Master sincerely and said that the money would be used to buy food for the elderly.

The Deputy Mayor, Mr. Noric Sardanyan of Vanadzor, had traveled with Master to the orphanage and the elderly home. Witnessing the benevolence that Master had shown to his people, Mr. Sardanyan presented Her with a beautiful painting of the ocean by one of the famous painters of Vanadzor. He then invited Master and everyone in the crew to join him for a vegetarian dinner at a local restaurant.

During the dinner, Mr. Sardanyan witnessed even more of Master's benevolent deeds. She took meticulous care of everyone, going from one end of the table to the other to see whether everyone had enough food. In addition, She made Lavash (traditional Armenian flat bread) with mushrooms and vegetables rolled up like spring rolls for Her bodyguards, video crew, chauffeurs and the police. Mr. Sardanyan clearly saw that Master's actions speak louder than words. Her actions touched him very much.

The day ended with many smiles and deep satisfaction, especially for the people of the Komitas House of Chamber Music, and the citizens of Gjumry and Vanadzor who gave thanks to God for answering their prayers through a truly kindhearted and gentle woman.

Interview

At 9:30 am on May 16, 1999, similar to the previous day, a police car escorted Master along with Her bodyguards and the organizers, Ms. Sarkisian and the Sharm General Director, Mr. Ruben Jaghinyan, to the National Armenian TV station for a live interview on "Barev," a popular TV show televised throughout the world. Reporter Anahit Mouradyan warmly received Master with a bouquet of red roses. Ms. Mouradyan highly respected Master for Her thoughtful and caring gestures to the Armenian people, which she had personally witnessed the previous day.

During the live interview, Ms. Mouradyan shared with viewers the humanitarian trip that Supreme Master Ching Hai had taken the previous day and the contributions that She had made to Armenian charitable foundations. Ms. Mouradyan also aired footage on National TV of the places that Master had visited and helped, as well as the video, "Walk the Way of Love: An introduction to Supreme Master Ching Hai." Among the discussion topics were Master's philosophy of sharing with others, what it means to be a truly kind person, and having faith in God. The live broadcast interview delivered the truth and beauty of Master to many Armenians, not only in Armenia, but also around the world, as the station airs on international channels. Later in the day, Ms. Mouradyan shared with Master that many local Armenians had called into the TV station after the interview to inquire more about Supreme Master Ching Hai's philosophy and to express their desire to meet Her. Master responded, "I thank them from my heart and may God bless them."

Orphanage in Yerevan

After the live TV broadcast, Master was escorted to the Children's House of Yerevan, where the resident orphans range from one to six years of age. Not only are they without parents, but they also suffer from cancer and other terminal illnesses. Master brought for these adorable children a giant teddy bear along with many other toys. The atmosphere of love and innocence could be felt as Master caressed each child and personally opened the gifts for them. Furthermore, Supreme Master Ching Hai contributed US$10,000 to the orphanage. The director of the Orphanage thanked Master continuously for Her generosity toward the children.

Sightseeing in Yerevan

Wishing for Master to have a little rest, Ms. Sarkisian and Mr. Jaghinyan took Her on a short sightseeing trip. They drove Her to the Viewing Square in Victory Park high above the city of Yerevan, where a panoramic view of Mount Ararat can be enjoyed. Master mentioned that this holy mountain reminded Her of the Himalayas. While they were having a pleasant conversation, Mr. Jaghinyan noticed the hot sun shining on Master. He immediately went to purchase an umbrella to shade Her from the sun's rays. His thoughtfulness was further shown by the fact that he especially chose an umbrella that matched Her red floral outfit. After relaxing with some refreshments, they escorted Master back to the city.

In Yerevan, Mr. Jaghinyan decided to show Master the Vernisage, an open-air market and popular tourist attraction. All sorts of interesting items were sold there, such as antiques, paintings, and handmade jewelry. Master enjoyed conversing with the Armenian people there and had a chance to examine many unique objects. She bought many souvenirs to serve as a remembrance of Her Armenian visit.

During all this time, Ms. Sarkisian, Mr. Jaghinyan and the Sharm assistant director, Mr. Karen Ghazaryan as well as the bodyguards and media crew were able to relax and enjoy a bit of leisure time with Master. They had a chance to joke and converse freely with Her. Her bodyguards came to love Her very much. They asked Her to autograph the "One World... Of Peace Through Music" special edition of News Magazine #100 as a souvenir. Supreme Master Ching Hai, being shy by nature, was embarrassed. She told them that She was not a movie star. However, in the hearts of Her newfound friends, She was more than just a celebrity - She was everything! Indeed, one of them gave Her an Armenian martial arts club T-shirt while Mr. Karen Ghazaryan gave Her several CDs of a famous opera singer along with other souvenir gifts as a token of their love and appreciation.

Although the sightseeing trip was only a thirty-minute break, it was a very sweet and memorable time.

Visit with the Mayor of Yerevan

At 1:00 p.m., Master arrived at the office of the Mayor of Yerevan, Mr. Suren Abrahamyan, who greeted Her genially with flowers. To further show Her his appreciation, he presented Her with a certificate and a silver medal for Her charitable activities. Upon seeing Master, Mr. Abrahamyan stated that he received very gentle and pleasant energy from Her. Master replied that She also felt that he was a very kind and ethical person.

They conversed with each other as if they were long time friends. Master joked affably with him that he should be the next president of Armenia, and said that the people would greatly benefit if they had him as their president. He modestly replied that he did not desire to be in that high post. He added that he was very content to be in the position he was in, and that the only thing he asked from God was to have health and wisdom, so as to better serve his people. In response, Master advised him, "It's very simple, just stop smoking cigarettes, then you'll be okay. Don't bother the "guy" up there for such a small matter!"

Everyone present, including the Mayor and Master, all laughed heartily in agreement. Immediately, Mayor Abrahamyan put out his cigarette and continued the conversation with Master. Later Mr. Ghazaryan informed Master of the circumstances in Yerevan, where many homes, especially children's homes, needed to be repaired and rebuilt. Upon hearing of this situation, Master asked Mayor Abrahamyan how much he would need to carry out these projects. He replied that whatever donation She made, even the smallest amount, would make him very happy. He expressed that meeting Her was the greatest gift for him.

Touched by his modesty, Master gave him a lighter made of 24K gold and a contribution of US$30,000 for the city. He thanked Master wholeheartedly and said that the contribution would be used for many worthwhile projects, one of which would be to build homes for children. [The cost of living in Armenia is extremely modest. That's why even such a small amount can work "miracles".] Before She left his office, Mayor Abrahamyan asked Master for a hug. They both embraced in God's love, and had their pictures taken together. The Mayor said that he was very glad, and indeed, it had been an honor for him to meet Master.

After departing from the Mayor's office, Supreme Master Ching Hai was invited to visit Holy Etchmiadzin, the first and most famous Armenian Apostolic Church. When they arrived there, like many other visitors to the church who follow the Armenian tradition, Master purchased a dozen yellow candles, anchored them in the sand and silently prayed. She then stood in front of a mosaic of Jesus' crucifixion and continued Her silent prayers. Looking at Jesus Christ and Mother Mary brought back to Her sad memories of the sacrifice that these great Masters and Saints had made for humankind, and this brought tears to Her eyes. From there, Father Aghvan Gasparyan came out to greet Master and toured with Her around the ancient church museum where all the treasures of the Armenian churches were preserved. He personally escorted Master down to the basement where all the secret sacred items were kept. He allowed no one else to join him except Master and Congresswoman Sarkisian.

All the media people and bodyguards patiently waited upstairs. When Father Gasparyan escorted Master back up to the main level, streams of tears were still on Her cheeks. She felt the pain and suffering that Jesus had endured for humankind. After conversing with the Father, Master made a contribution of US$20,000 to the church to maintain its hall. Speechless at Her generosity, Father Gasparyan welcomed Master back to Armenia any time as his "Supreme" guest. He repeatedly said that he hoped, under God's will, to receive Master again in the very near future.

Master also agreed with him that it is truly up to God's will. A member of the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association gave Father Gasparyan a gift bag containing Master's poetry and musical CDs, which in turn inspired Master to sing one of Her songs, "Love Me," especially for Father Gasparyan. While Master and Father Gasparyan were parting, two small children from the crowd of visitors shyly came up to offer Master bouquets of flowers.

On the way out, Master passed by a water fountain where Mr. Jaghinyan claimed that the water is very pure and sweet. He took a sip of it, exclaimed over its freshness, and asked Master to try the water also. However, the water from the fountain suddenly sprang high into the sky after She took a sip. Everyone was in awe, wondering what had happened. Mr. Jaghinyan asked Master, "You have the power, why don't you make the water go lower?" Master smiled. Looking at the water, She held out Her hand and gestured for it to go lower. As Her hand dropped lower, the water level simultaneously declined. Everyone was in awe, wondering whether or not it was a coincidence. Master just smiled.

Press Conference and Gala

"An Evening of Love through Music & Art" Gala held at the Hotel Armenia on May 16, 1999.

At 7:00 p.m. in the Hotel Armenia, an exhibition of Supreme Master Ching Hai's paintings, dress designs and artwork was displayed for all the guests and reporters to enjoy. A press conference was held so that the media could interview Supreme Master Ching Hai. Reporters from Armenia's major newspapers and television stations attended, including those from National TV, Ayg TV, Aysor (a weekly), Urartu (a weekly), Iskra (a newspaper), What, When Where (a weekly), New Time (a weekly), Mayr Hyrenik (a television station), Hobby (a monthly), Ayo (a weekly), and Sensation (a weekly). They were very respectful and asked Master many spiritual questions. After all the reporters' questions were satisfied by Master, She invited all of them to attend the upcoming gala celebration, "An Evening of Love through Music and Art".

During the press conference the guests for the gala began to arrive. The guest list included dignitaries from both Armenia and from foreign countries, such as the Armenian Minister of Privatization, Pavel Khahakhchian, the Ambassador from Syria, Radwan Loufti, and the Armenian Assembly representative in America, Ms. Arpe Vardanian. Well-known artists such as Nune Asadryan, the Deputy from the Union of Composers in Armenia, and Mr. Zaven Sarkisian from Paradjanon Museum Armenia, and many other famous people from Armenia also attended.

This formal dinner gala was organized by Congresswoman Nadezdha Sarkisian, the president of the Hayer Cultural Foundation, with the assistance of the Sharm Company. Both organizations wanted to show their appreciation and gratitude to Master for Her visit to Armenia. The Sharm firm and Hayer Cultural Foundation brought in the top orchestral musicians, opera singers and other performers in Armenia for the gala.

The organizers had prepared for delicious vegetarian meals with non-alcoholic beer to be served, a novelty to many of the guests attending. They thoroughly enjoyed the dinner as well as the magnificent entertainment program, which included famous opera singers Eduard Zakharian and Lusine Markosian, the Taragan singing group, the Do Re Mi group, a jazz band, a children's singing group and an orchestra comprised of the best musicians in Armenia.

Looking truly beautiful, the special guest of honor for the evening, Supreme Master Ching Hai, entered the gala and the party paused to applaud Her entrance. She went to the press tables to personally serve the reporters and introduce them to the vegetarian food. As Anahit Hovhannisyan later said in her Urartu article, "She (Supreme Master Ching Hai) not only shared the food, but Her love as well."

Last but not least, one of the opera singers, Lusine Markosian, gave Master a pleasant surprise. She dedicated to Master the song "Love Me," with music and lyrics by Master Herself, at the close of the program. Master modestly said that her operatic voice made the song even more priceless. Congresswoman Nadezhda with the director of the Sharm Company, Mr. Ruben Jaghinyan, invited Master onto the stage to thank Her for all Her love, support, kindness and generosity, and above all, the priceless "Method" that She had offered to the people.

While Master was on stage, the Minister of Privatization, Mr. Pavel Khahakhchian came up and presented Her a vase made of Armenia's precious national stone, with an image of Her face sculpted in gold. It had been created by one of the most famous sculptors in Armenia, David Bedjanian. On behalf of Armenia, Mr. Pavel Khahakhchian thanked Master for all Her noble work on behalf of the Armenian people with the following inscription on the vase, "Much gratitude to Supreme Master Ching Hai for Her charity to Armenia." Master then contributed US$20,000 to the Hayer Cultural Foundation for its admirable work in helping children develop their musical talents. With the greatest honor, the president of the children's foundation, Ms. Nadezdha Sarkisian, stepped forward to accept the generous gift.

Meeting with Initiates

Although the gala ended at 11:00 p.m., the party with Master and the initiates did not end. Without minding Her tiredness, Master made the time to meet with initiates. She patiently and lovingly addressed each and every new initiate's questions and concerns.

The Ocean of Love

Armenians are people who know how to truly appreciate beauty, and to those who show them beauty in the arts, in others and in themselves, they are forever grateful. Supreme Master Ching Hai left a deep and long lasting impression in the hearts of the Armenian people for the boundless love and teachings She shared with them. She reminded each and every one to be connected with God within, to learn how to live a noble and virtuous life. Her generosity is truly inspiring to the people of this country. Everyone, from the director of the music hall to the translators to the organizers, said that the whole country is now talking about this extraordinary woman who is the first person to set foot in Armenia and travel throughout the country on such a charitable journey, a mission which no one has been able to accomplish before. She is indeed the "Ocean of Love".

Children on the streets came up to Master to give Her flowers. People are filled with admiration and adoration for this petite woman and are calling Her the second Mother Teresa in the world. Government-owned newspapers such as Republic of Armenia Hayastan and Hayastani Hanrapetuyun, and independent ones such as the Armenian Business Weekly, as well as television stations have reported numerous times about Master's visit to Armenia and humanitarian trip throughout the nation. In two days, Master toured the whole country and touched the hearts of all of Armenia's citizens, spreading Her love and more than US$250,000 to them and imparting the invaluable Quan Yin Method. Her love and compassion will forever remain in Armenia.

As Supreme Master Ching Hai departed from the small country of Armenia, sweet rain from the heavens began to fall again, just like on the day She arrived, leaving a trace of the new life that Master brought to Armenia and its gentle people.

After Master's visit to Armenia during Her European Lecture Tour, She sent a group of initiates to Armenia with cashier's checks for the contributions She had promised to various institutions while touring in the country.

Upon the initiates' arrival at St. Mariam Astvatsatsian Church (also known as St. Etchmiadzin Church), Father Garegin Nersesyan accepted a check of US$20,000. Father Garegin Nersesyan was very touched and said, "I have heard many people express many great things about Supreme Master Ching Hai. I regret that I did not have the honor of meeting Her when She visited the Church personally. I hope to meet Her at my next opportunity. I am very touched, not because of the amount of money She has contributed, but by Her philanthropy and boundless love. Her love has touched me most especially during this time. I would like to send my warmest regards and deepest thanks to Supreme Master Ching Hai. Her actions exemplify the love and grace of God."

Father Aghvan Gasparyan, who received Master during Her visit to Armenia, said, "After meeting Supreme Master Ching Hai and the Association members, every night I pray for their safety and happiness. I pray that I can meet Master and all of you once again in the near future. Every moment, I remember you in my prayers. At night, I read and learn about the teachings of Supreme Master Ching Hai that you have given me. As I learn little by little, I teach it to others." After hearing the heartfelt feelings of Father Gasparyan, one of the members of the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association presented him with the "One World...of Peace Through Music" concert video. He was extremely happy and said he would watch it soon. He further confided, "I will pray that Master and the Association members will once again set foot in this holy land one day soon. Did you know that out of all the places that you have visited in Armenia, this is the holiest place?"

Next, after traveling for over two hours on a winding road filled with potholes, Master's representatives reached their second destination, Gjumry. Governor Shirak S. Petrossyan and Mayor Michael Vardanyan of Gjumry warmly greeted the representatives of the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association, who then presented them with a check.

On behalf of the city of Gjumry, Governor Petrossyan and Mayor Vardanyan, with their deepest gratitude, thanked Master and promised that Her contribution would be used to construct 70-75 factories to help the poor and needy have a chance to work and provide for a better future for themselves. In addition, they said the money would be used to construct two new schools, one to be named the Supreme Master Ching Hai High School. Coincidentally, the word 'Hai' in the Armenian language means "a person from Armenia". The Governor stated, "In 1988, our city of Gjumry was shocked by a violent earthquake, but now, exactly 11 years later, we are shocked by Supreme Master Ching Hai's great generosity. Her deed again proves that human kindness has no boundaries. It recognizes neither country nor nationality."

After meeting with the Governor and Mayor, the representatives visited the Orphanage of Gjumry and the Elderly Home & Internet of Gjumry. The residents of these facilities were quite happy to welcome Master's representatives and made sure to take perfect care of their guests. The directors, Ruzanna Avakyan of the Orphanage of Gjumry and Olya Mkrtchyan of the Elderly Home & Internet of Gjumry, could not thank Master enough for Her generosity. They promised that Her contribution would be used to provide food for the orphans and elderly residents. Even though Master was not present, everyone could feel Her love still reaching out to these less fortunate children and elders.

Following their stop in Gjumry, Master's representatives made a two hour drive on an unpaved road that was as bumpy as a roller coaster, finally reaching their third destination, the city of Vanadzor. There they visited the orphans at the Vanadzor Orphanage and the elderly center, Aznavour Pour L'Armenie in Vanadzor. The director of the Vanadzor Orphanage, Mr. Arshaluys Harutyuyan, was truly happy to receive the check given to him by the initiates, and could not stop expressing his gratitude toward Master. He promised to use the money to build a playground for the children and cultivate a vegetable garden for their consumption. Ms. Ruzanna Azetisyan of the Aznavour Pour L'Armenia center for the elderly promised that she would use the money to purchase food and medicine for the residents.

In Yerevan, Armenia's capital, Master's representatives visited the orphans at the Children's House of Yerevan. The director said that he intended to use Master's contribution to purchase necessities for the resident children and provide a good place for them to enjoy better living conditions.

After his meeting with Master during Her last trip in Armenia, the Mayor of Yerevan, Mr. Suren Abrahamyan, was elected to the position of Prime Minister of Internal Affairs of his country. He told his colleagues that this promotion was possibly due to the meeting with Master. When the representatives arrived at the Mayor's office, Mr. Abrahamyan was out of the office due to his schedule and could not personally be there, but he sent his warmest regards to Her. Mr. Abrahamanyan had his assistant, Mr. Grisha Hovhannissyan, accept the check on his behalf and instructed him to thank Master for Her generosity. With utmost respect, he presented Master with a book on Armenian culture as a gift, stating that he planned to use the contribution to construct and maintain the schools in Yerevan.

The representatives also visited Nadezdha Sarkisian, president of the Hayer Cultural Center. With the contribution she received, Ms. Sarkisian promised to help needy young Armenian children with musical talent go to school to have the chance to develop their talents. She intends to use the contribution to construct a music school and to purchase more audio equipment. She stated, "I feel that it is a great honor and privilege for me to have had the opportunity to invite Master Ching Hai to this country. This nation has had to endure many hardships and tragic disasters for many years. Our people have thirsted for God's love, for human warmth. We need the love which will comfort our lives during our times of difficulty. What makes me so touched is that not only did Master visit every corner of Armenia to share Her love, but She also contributed generously to those places She visited. Now, She has sent Her representatives here at the perfect time. On behalf of my foundation, the Hayer Cultural Center, I truly thank Master with all my heart."

When the representatives of the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association came to visit the Komitas House of Chamber Music, they were warmly greeted by its director, Robert Sahakian . Mr. Sahakian truly admires Master, and promised to use Her contribution to renovate the facility and install a world class audio and lighting system to advance it to international standards, so that the people of Armenia could welcome all the brothers and sisters of the world's great spiritual family to enjoy the holy music performed on the Hall's unique organ. He assured that the next time Master visits, it will be a completely new hall.

During the visit to distribute checks to those organizations to which Master had promised contributions, there was not one person who was not moved by Her great compassion and unconditional love. One reporter from the newspaper, Ayo, Ms. Nana Stepanian, shared the following feelings with one of the representatives: "Supreme Master Ching Hai's love and compassion truly touched me. Her love has been shown through the representatives of the Association. They are wonderful. I am very happy to have had a chance to accompany them on this trip and witness their sincerity and hard work. I truly admire them." Ms. Stepanian agrees that a student learns to be great by having a good teacher.

The night before Master's representatives departed from Armenia, God granted a soothing rainfall to the people of Yerevan again, carrying blessings from Heaven to the Earth. Q: You talked about the distinctive features of each nation and You said that each nation is specific in its kind, but is the way to love and heaven the same for all the nations? This is the first question and the second question is: maybe this way to love and heaven is too narrow for a nation, maybe this way is only for individuals, for one person.

M: Is that right? No, I don't think so. Of course, it would be nice if every country walked the way of Jesus, the way of love and followed His example, but of course, we have to take into consideration that each individual has God inside them, and they will decide inside them when and how they would like to follow.

We cannot impose even virtue upon everyone. Like flowers, we can only present, and people will like what they like. We just share what we know. But each one has his own choice and freedom.

Q: Since the dissemination of Christianity, each nation has accepted Christianity according to its traditions and its cultures. Now about Your teachings, about Your philosophy, aren't You afraid that it will be accepted by each nation individually according to its culture and traditions?

M: That is from the physical standpoint, and the traditional standpoint, but inside each of us, there is the Kingdom of God, the Holy Spirit that dwells within us, and that Holy Spirit will know what is the only Truth and what is the only way to God.

Q: So You know about baptism by water and baptism by soul, so what's Your opinion about these two types of baptism? And You know that during their prayer, people sometimes talk or use different languages, and they pray in different languages. While praying they pray in other languages, and they don't know these languages, if they're Chinese or Arabic, but the person doesn't know these languages.

M: They suddenly speak these languages.

Q: Yes, subconsciously.

M: So you want to ask me why?

Q: No, what is Your opinion? Is it from God? Or is it from... I don't know?

M: I will answer you. Now to answer the first question, "Is it baptism by water or by the Holy Spirit?" St. John the Baptist said that, "It's no doubt I baptize by water but the one who will come after me who's greater, He will baptize by the Holy Fire or by the Holy Spirit." So is that clear to you? And number two... People sometimes concentrate very hard; they go to a different level of consciousness, and they might enter into one of their past existences. They might collect the past store of knowledge that they have been Chinese or they have learned Chinese in another existence. And that's why they can speak it again, only for that time. That's one way. There is another phenomenon such that sometimes an astral being, or the deceased, a disembodied spirit, possesses that person while he or she is unaware and then uses the person's body to speak his own language. It's very rarely directly from God.

Q: We learned that You have devoted a big part of Your life to fight against one of the greatest evils of the world - AIDS. Now as You know, in Armenia, we have discovered the medicine against AIDS. Did You do anything to learn any information about it, because it's kept secret?

M: Oh, I should learn about that. You should reveal it. You should announce it to the world and don't keep it a secret. Sell it, make money, or anything, but don't keep it secret. Make all the scientists come here and receive the best offering to humankind. You will make Armenia famous, too! People will come here and worship your land. Please tell the government. Please reveal it. It's no more a secret now. It's on tape and I'm going to play it everywhere. [Laughter] They will come knock-knock-knocking!!! [Laughter]

Q: And the last question is, "In which language do You pray? What is Your mother tongue?"

M: God understands all kinds of languages.

Q: Because, as everyone knows, people pray in their mother tongue, and they speak in their mother tongue when they give birth.

M: Well, I pray in all kinds of languages. God understands everything. And I don't even pray anymore; Hes understands before I pray. Sometimes Hes says 'No.' I say, 'I haven't said anything yet!' God knows everything. When I pray it means Hes knows what I want and that's it. I don't even have to say, 'Please Father' or anything. Because I dare not impose my will or my wish upon Hiers will anymore. I just say, 'Supreme Master, You know the problem, so now it's up to You.'

That's my prayer, and Hes tells me what to do. I don't tell Hirm what to do. Praying is in a way telling Hirm what to do. I used to do that - I don't dare anymore. Because I have learned that Hiers will is always the best. Sometimes, I have learned that I see some person in trouble or something in trouble, in a problem, and I would like Hirm to solve it, but then Hes can solve it, but then it breeds another problem, and I can't go on asking forever, so I just say, 'Yes, it's up to You Father,' and Hes does take care better.

Q: Sorry, one more question.

M: Don't be sorry, I'm here for you.

Q: According to the Bible women should not preach.

M: How about the first Saint of Armenia (Ripsime) who brought Christianity here, who was she?

Q: Yes, I know, but the thing is that I would like to know Your opinion.

M: I agree with you, we women should not preach - it's a tiring job. If we look upon ourselves as a woman, we should not, but if we believe in the Bible, in Jesus, who said that we are the temple of God and the Holy Spirit dwells within us, then my Holy Spirit, His Holy Spirit is the same. What is the difference between me and Him. Yes, the first woman who brought Christianity to Armenia was very beautiful, and she did preach all right. It's clear. [Applause]

Thank you for your very kind and loving questions. I am rarely in the press' presence; just when it's absolutely necessary and unavoidable. Like sometimes, people have arranged it already and some famous people have arranged it, and I just have to oblige them myself. I don't look shy, but I'm very shy, actually, but it's good that you have been very protective and I'm very, very grateful. May God bless you. Maybe the spirits of Armenian people are like that. Everywhere I go people want to hug me and kiss me and children bring flowers. They're so wonderful. Such kind people you are, so kind. God blesses you more.

The director of the Komitas House of Chamber Music granted an interview with Toma after the Supreme Master Ching Hai gave a lecture at the hall.

Q: After some time working with the Supreme Master's organization and listening to the lecture, what do you think about Supreme Master Ching Hai and the organization?

A: I shall answer this question in detail because I have so many impressions that I can not be brief. You see, I'm very willing to have such a lecture once more. I've worked with this organization for two days. And during these two days all the members of the organization became very dear and very close to me. First, I'd like to mention that I'm very happy to become friends with them. If there is any opportunity for them to come here again, I'd be very glad to work with them again. I'll do my best for them to be satisfied. This lecture will become history for our chamber music hall. It was magnificent, beautiful. I liked it very much. I'm very impressed with their teacher, Supreme Master Ching Hai and the good work that She has done for our nation and for our chamber music hall. After the lecture, many people came up to me and told about the positive impressions Supreme Master Ching Hai left on them.

Q: How do people here in Yerevan welcome Her and Her work, Her love for Armenia?

A: I can't speak on behalf of our nation, but I can say one thing. I can speak on behalf of our staff and the people who were present at the lecture. They liked it very much, and they felt it was a pity that it was only Her first visit to Armenia. I have great respect for the organization, and mainly for the "gifted person," Supreme Master Ching Hai. I shall remember Her and Her people forever, for the rest of my life. I can speak on behalf of the whole of my staff, that they're very eager, both they and I are very eager to invite Master and Her people here again to Armenia, either to give a lecture once more or just to be present here as our guests.

Q: We understand your difficulties due to time constraints in organizing the lecture. But how did you like being in such a difficult situation?

A: If it were not close to my heart, it would not have been a success.

Q: In the future, if you have the opportunity to work with them again, would you gladly accept the challenge?

A: I have already mentioned, but I'd like to mention it again that I'll be very, very glad and happy to meet them again, just to have their Teacher again in my Chamber Music Hall delivering a lecture. I hope that during the next meeting here in the Chamber Music Hall, there will be better facilities at the Hall. The money given to the Chamber Music Hall will account for that. It will improve the present situation of the Chamber Music Hall. Now on behalf of my staff and me, I'm going to prepare a letter in which I thank the whole organization, and Supreme Master Ching Hai, and express my thankfulness.

Q: Again, thank you for the time you reserved for us. Thank you for your warm welcome, and your magnificent help during the time Supreme Master Ching Hai and the organization stayed in Armenia

A: I hope they'll have a happy journey back and I'm looking forward to them coming back to Armenia again soon. I have mentioned it many times, but I am eager to mention it again, "Welcome to Armenia." So I hope it will be God's will for them to come here again.

Q: I just want to know your feedback from your personal experience of your interactions with Supreme Master Ching Hai.

A: It is my staff's and my honor to mention that She is to be the second Mother Teresa in the world. It was I who said these words first and now my words are announced and used everywhere around the country. I'm sure that in the future all our newspapers will write letters thanking Her for the generous gifts that Supreme Master Ching Hai has given. I promise that I myself will collect all these stories about Her, all these letters thanking Her for everything and send them to the organization. I will keep my promise, by all means. Those who were present at the lecture told me that they were very impressed. They liked it very much, and they felt it was a pity that She left so soon. She left Yerevan to go to the Genocide Memorial and Gjumry and Vanadzor, and they hope to see Her just to enjoy Her presence more, just to communicate with Her, just to feel Her soul feeling them.

Q: On behalf of the Association, thank you very much for your time. You must be God's messenger, and that's why you helped to do the miraculous job of inviting Supreme Master Ching Hai to come and give a lecture within two short days.

A: I wish Master to be healthy and wealthy for a long, long period of time, for everyone to hear of Her, that She's very good, very healthy, and to have everyone in the world that is in a very bad condition, not only in the material aspect but also in the spiritual see Her. So I thank Her very, very much. She did us a great favor. Thank you very much.

A wind from the East blows over the West. Wisdom comes from the East. And She is in search of enlightenment and the Truth.

Supreme Master Ching Hai came to Mount Ararat from the Himalayas - from a summit to a summit, where the whiteness of snow is related to the purity of a spiritual person's thoughts. To win the hearts of others, first Master Ching Hai conquered Herself - She learned a meditation technique involving contemplation on the Inner Light and Sound. "We are traveling from country to country," Supreme Master Ching Hai said, "and all the doors are open for us. I am here... and that means, it is God's will."

Her biography is very interesting. After dissolving a happy marriage with a German doctor, She "embarked on a journey in search of spiritual enlightenment." In the Himalayas She found a true Master who initiated Her into the Quan Yin Method. Soon She became fully enlightened and a Master of the Quan Yin Method Herself. And believe me, we need this Method no less than other people in the world, as it makes us look within ourselves to discover our true greatness.

Supreme Master Ching Hai teaches the importance of looking inside ourselves, of meditation and prayer. She explains that we should discover our inner Divine Self if we want to be happy. She does not agree that enlightenment is out of reach to those who lead a normal life. In Her opinion, we all know the Truth; we have simply forgotten it. For this reason, from time to time, people come to Earth whose mission is to remind us about our purposes in life, the motives of finding the Truth and our belief in God.

Now let's try to look into one part of Master Ching Hai's teachings, the basis of vegetarianism. Vegetarianism or lacto-vegetarianism is one of the compulsory points of the Quan Yin Method taught by Master Ching Hai. Any animal products, including eggs, are not permitted. There are many reasons for this, but the most significant is God's first commandment "Thou shalt not kill". When you kill or allow killing to satisfy your desire for meat, you collect karmic hindrance for which sooner or later you will pay.

So by being vegetarian you give yourself a unique gift. You begin to feel good, your quality of life becomes better and before you opens the entrance of your inner gentle world, the celestial world. Firstly, vegetarianism helps your own health apart from anything else. The history of the evolution of humankind shows that our ancestors, by nature, were vegetarians. The human bodily structure is not suitably designed for meat eating. A doctor of comparative anatomy, Dr. Huntingen from Columbia University, has proven this. He emphasized that the intestines of meat eaters are noticeably short, whereas herbivores have long intestines. Humans, like other herbivores, have long intestines. Because of this, meat stays in our intestines longer than it should, and it can produce toxic substances, thus overloading the liver. Consequently, this essential organ can be damaged.

As stated by Leo Tolstoy: "As long as there are slaughterhouses, there will be battlefields."

Therefore, we should seriously consider the benefits of vegetarianism.

Your visit to Armenia was of this kind, a visit to a country in want of kindness, a country, nonetheless proud, compassionate and sympathetic, which has suffered a great deal in the course of its severe and difficult 2,500 year history.

Your charitable visit was like an enlivening spring rain that filled with warmth the heart of every Armenian who had the good fortune to see and communicate with You - a human soul unique in its nature. You are a person, who, with the universal soul in Her little body, is able to condense the purity of asceticism, the ideal model of honesty of spirit, the self-sacrifice of a Homo Sapiens who has entrusted Her life to God.

God 's precepts of charity in Your heart were visited on old people forgotten by the powers that be of this life, little orphans who thirst for love, the Museum of Armenian Genocide, the dilapidated Apostolic Church, and the victims of natural disaster.

And whenever You wanted, the imperative call of Your charitable soul was extremely jolting.

Charity You gave for the sake of humanity, for the sake of merciful kindness, kindness which, according to God's precepts, can save human souls. Vegetarian Era

In 1996, the "mad-cow disease" scandal which lasted for three years, caused a major scare in Europe. And in May of 1999, the Belgian dioxin scandal occurred, revealing possible contamination of food, including poultry, eggs, beef, pork, milk and hundreds of by-products. It is the biggest food contamination crisis since mad-cow disease, with an even bigger impact and a wider range of influence.

When the crisis broke, it was revealed that the chickens on several Belgian chicken farms were abnormal: Some hens produced fewer eggs, and those eggs that were laid had harder shells. Moreover, some chickens became sick. Laboratory tests showed that dioxin levels in the chickens' fat were 140 times higher than the safe standard set by the World Health Organization. Therefore, the cause of the chickens' sickness was determined to be feed contaminated with excessive amounts of dioxin.

The term " dioxin" refers to a family of chlorinated organic chemicals found to be a severe cancer hazard in humans. Studies have revealed that exposure to dioxins can also cause severe reproductive and developmental problems, and that these compounds can cause damage to the immune system and may interfere with regulatory hormones. Due to its widespread use and super toxicity, dioxin is considered to be among the most toxic organic chemicals in the world, and a potentially severe hazard to human health. In 1997 the World Health Organization claimed dioxin to be a category one carcinogen. If consumed over a long term, even in very small amounts, it may cause increased risk for cancer and injury to the skin and liver. It can also cause birth defects if consumed by pregnant women. Dioxin can be transferred to infants through mother's milk during breast feeding or through cow's milk, and may cause great harm.

Dioxins are unintentional by-products of industry. The major sources of dioxin compounds in the environment (95%) are incinerators burning chlorinated wastes. Dioxins are also by-products or foreign substances in many industrial processes involving the manufacture of pesticides, antiseptics, herbicides and paint additives. Other man-made sources of dioxins include pulp and paper bleaching, motor vehicle exhaust, and the smelting of metals.

Human exposure to dioxins takes place through inhalation of motor vehicle exhaust, dust in the air, contaminated soil and food consumption. Among these sources, food consumption is the main channel of human exposure to dioxins, which pollute animal products through contaminated feed, then enter the human body through the consumption of these animal products. Once consumed, dioxins remain in body fat and are difficult to get rid of because of their chemical stability.

The origin of the Belgian food contamination crisis was a fat-and-oil processing firm, Verkest, which is believed to have supplied eight tons of animal fat, contaminated with motor oil containing dioxin, to ten animal-feed manufacturers in Belgium, one in France and one in the Netherlands. The contaminated animal fats were used to manufacture animal feed, which was then sold to more than 2,000 farms, and the contamination was consequently spread across a wider range. Potentially affected and hence banned products include poultry, eggs, pork, beef, dairy products and related by-products.

Food safety is an increasing concern throughout the world, and any problem involving food safety often creates a worldwide scare. On May 28, 1999, Belgium swept its shelves clear of possibly contaminated poultry and egg products. As soon as the news was revealed, it caused a great disturbance in Belgium as well as in other countries that import Belgian poultry and egg products. These countries, one after another, imposed strict restrictions on Belgian meat and poultry and their by-products. The European Union took the lead, outlawing the sale and ordering the elimination of contaminated poultry, pork and cattle products in its fifteen member counties, who also slammed their doors on Belgian meat, eggs and dairy products.

Because Belgium is one of the world's major animal feed producing countries, and other countries in Europe may have imported the contaminated meat or products, the United States imposed wider bans on all poultry and pork from EU countries. Other countries that have temporarily imposed restrictions on Belgian food imports include South Africa, Saudi Arabia, the Congo Republic and Sierra Leone, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines and China. All of a sudden, an unfamiliar term, "dioxin", is appearing frequently in various news media and making consumers panic.

This food scare, considered the most serious since the "mad-cow disease" scandal, is still spreading to a wider range. It has already caused major losses both politically and economically, yet its effect on consumers' health is difficult to estimate. In the meantime, some hamburger beef was found to be contaminated by dioxins in Henson, Germany, with dioxins five times the safe standard. Fortunately, this beef had not yet been put on the market. Also, a report by New York University in the United States showed that the amount of dioxin in American pork was 11 times that in Belgian pork. This report also showed that the pork in American supermarkets contained 11.8 micrograms of carcinogenic substance per gram of meat.

In recent years, problems related to food safety have been making consumers panic. "The Belgian Freedom Daily" printed an editorial article asking: If there are hormones in beef, antiseptic substances in cheese, swine fever and antibiotics in pork; mercury in fish; and now carcinogenic substances in chickens and eggs ..., then "What shall we have for dinner tonight?" becomes a serious question. In fact the answer is quite straightforward: Start to follow a vegetarian diet now!

  Spiritual Interlude

In the report "Food Scare: What's Left to Eat?" it was mentioned that dioxins are unintentional by-products of industry. Human exposure to dioxins may take place through inhalation of motor vehicle exhaust, and over the long run, may cause increased risk of cancer. Based on this information, we learn from a material aspect about the killing power of dioxins. But let's consider their influence on spiritual practice: In 1987, Master had already told us in one of Her Chinese lectures:"Motor vehicle exhaust affects our body, mind and thinking. So, nowadays people are more pessimistic and frustrated and have a lot of negative thinking."

That is why we become tired after returning from the outside. But after taking a shower and brushing our teeth, etc., we feel a lot more relaxed, and if we can meditate for a couple of dozen minutes, our energy is restored, our minds are clearer and our spirits are soaring high again.

Panorama of Events Report from Korea

 

 

[Seoul] A nation-wide tour featuring Master's video lectures was held in Korea from May 23 to June 20, 1999, with showings in Pusan (May 23), Pohang (May 30), Taegu (June 5), Seoul (June 12), Wonju (June 13), Kwangju (June 19) and Taejon (June 20). During this period, initiates also attended the International Book Fair in Seoul on June 1-6 and held an exhibition of Master's Paintings in Kwangju on June 15-21.

The video lectures drew very positive responses and many audience members requested initiation and Convenient Method training. In Pohang, a local newspaper asked us to grant an interview. And a local journalist who had read Master's sample booklets helped us to advertise in a newspaper almost free of charge.

We also joined the Seoul International Book Fair, in which we take part every year. This year, we were surprised by the unusual and huge response of the people, who competitively visited us to receive sample booklets and flyers. The Seoul Center became extremely busy due to the influx of guests who read the materials.

Kwangju is the capital city of Cholla-do, with plenty of cultural treasures. In addition, the city frequently sponsors art events. Therefore, during this year's video lecture tour in Korea, we concentrated on exhibiting Master's paintings for one week. During the exhibition, we played Master's videos continuously and held a question and answer session. There was a surprising response. The event was covered by three Korean broadcasting companies: KBS, KBC, and MBC and four newspapers: the Kwangju Daily, the Moodeung Daily, the Chonnam Mail, and the Kwangju Times. One newspaper reporter said, "This is a rare and excellent painting exhibition. It is very difficult for one artist to create paintings of many different styles. I can only say I am greatly surprised." The reporter even telephoned her sisters and asked them to come and have a look.

The visitors who flocked to our booth included Mr. Oh, Byung-moon, the ex-Minister of Education; Mr. Lee, Yang-woo, the ex-superintendent of educational affairs; Kim, Jong-tae, the Chairman of the Kwangju Daily Newspaper, etc. Besides, many people ordered paintings according to their preference.

[Pingtung] Fellow initiates from the Kaohsiung-Pingtung Center visited the "Faith-Hope-Love Orphanage" in Leekang Village, Pingtung County, which was founded by Christian missionaries. The initiates told stories to the children, and sang songs and played games with them. Every child received a gift and a backpack.

After the entertainment programs, fellow initiates invited the school's teachers, working staff and children to a deliciously prepared vegetarian buffet.
Children from the "Faith-Hope-Love Orphanage" enjoy the vegetarian buffet and have a wonderful time with the activities.

 

[Taipei] Fellow initiates from the Northern part of Formosa organized a summer camp at Highland Bay, Dan-Shui, which attracted fellow initiates and guests from all over Formosa to enjoy a variety of summertime activities.

[London] On July 1st, 1999, Canada Day, the community where local initiates hold group meditation for Convenient Method practitioners held a multi-cultural fair. It was a great honor for us to be invited to participate in this event, because it was held only for local residents who are international university students, along with their families. Besides us, as a vegetarian group, African, Mexican, Chilean, Chinese and Japanese ethnic groups also prepared food for a free lunch. We served vegetarian food such as Japanese sushi, barbecue, and spring rolls. We also distributed flyers, which introduced Master's teachings and our activities to people in the area. Master's sample booklets both in Chinese and English were also available free for visitors to take.

By attending this event, we had an opportunity to meet many people from different cultural backgrounds and introduce them to the vegetarian diet, Master's teachings and our organization. We were also happy to hear that more and more people are maintaining a vegetarian diet, so the host for the event also prepared some vegetarian food such as veggie burgers and veggie hot-dogs for the dinner that evening. A week later, some Indian and Chinese people from the area came to our Center to ask further about Master's teachings and watch Master's video lecture tapes.

Disciples from the Togo Center grow steadily.

[Lome] Apart from being open daily to guests to introduce Master's teachings, once a week the Togo Center holds group meditations for both Convenient Method and initiated practitioners. Especially, every Sunday morning, a four to five hour continuous group meditation for initiates is held, in which every participant can feel Master's strong blessing power. Since April, the Center has added a regular one-day retreat each month.

Through these continuous and regular group meditations, all the fellow practitioners in Togo have changed for the better, both physically and spiritually. Although Master's physical body has never been to Togo, Her transformation body has often been seen in the Center to bless each member. Thanks to Master's blessings, fellow practitioners from Togo all hope to progress rapidly to repay Master for Her endless and selfless love.

[Johannesburg] On May 30, fellow practitioners from the Johannesburg Center attended a private exhibition at the Bella Vita Centre to play Master's video lectures. When our warmhearted initiates distributed sample booklets to the crowd passing by our stand, they noticed that many people already had them. Besides, many people had heard about our Association during the previously held "Body, Mind and Spirit Fair." About one to two thousand people visited our stand from morning till afternoon, and almost every visitor had a conspicuous green sample booklet in his or her hand.

Initiates from the Johannesburg Center in the Republic of South Africa actively spread master's teachings.

On June 5, the Message of Love was spread by the Johannesburg Center at a smaller-sized fair held at the Edenvale Community Centre. This event also attracted people with affinity who were interested in the Quan Yin Method.

Weekly group meditation at the Kathmandu Center in Nepal.

[Kathmandu] Located in a western suburb of Kathmandu, our Center happens to be on a small hill across from the famous Buddhist holy place -the Suayambunath Temple, which has a history of over two thousand years. According to the locals, Shakyamuni Buddha stopped at this temple and gave lectures. On the hills around our Center are many lama temples, big and small. With the spinning wheel of Dharma in their hands, believers are seen everywhere concentrating on mantra recitation. In this atmosphere of faith and peace, the infinite light of Buddha has been re-revealed after a long time, with the blessings of Master. In addition to the regular Saturday group meditation, one-day retreats are held during holidays. Disciples are bathed in the light of this Holy Land and enjoy the supreme blessing power of our living Master.

The Supreme Master Ching Hai establishes affinity with sentient beings through art.

In order to introduce Master's teachings to more people, local disciples and a Quan Yin messenger worked together and held an exhibit of Master's lamp designs and paintings in an art gallery in downtown Shrikutimandap in Kathmandu. Disciples did their best to finish all the preparatory work, such as distributing flyers, putting up posters and decorating the exhibit area. Three famous newspapers including The Kathmandu Post in English, and The Kantipur Daily and Himalaya Times in the local language, and the TV Station Kantipur, which serves the largest audience of any station in the area, all reported news of Master's art exhibit.

Master's lamps and paintings were very much appreciated by local painters and people of all backgrounds. One particular painter visited the exhibit every day to enjoy Master's paintings, and took notes now and then.

Visitors to Master's art exhibit eagerly register for initiation and Convenient Method training after coming into contact with Her teachings.

The exhibit lasted for three days. The constant crowds enjoyed Master's artistic creations; but they were more attracted by Master's videos being played outside the art gallery, and Her various publications on display. Many people registered to receive initiation and learned the Convenient Method. Visitors kept asking the Quan Yin messenger questions about the Quan Yin Method. They also exchanged their experiences from different spiritual practices.

Among those who registered to learn meditation, many already knew the physical and spiritual benefits of keeping a vegetarian diet, and had already been vegetarians for a long time. Eighty percent of the local population is Hindu. The Brahmins of India have observed Ahimsa (non-violence) and carried out spiritual practice from generation to generation for thousands of years. When the Quan Yin messenger conversed with them, they all felt as close as family members. Some people had practiced other methods before, but by then their only wish was to practice the Quan Yin Method under the protection and guidance of our living Master.

A university in Pokala, Prithivi Narayan Campus, introduces Master and Her teachings in its campus journal. The English newspaper -- The Sunday Express in the second largest city in Nepal, Pokala, repeatedly reported the content of Master's lectures.

Athens, Greece May 20,1999 (Originally in English) Greece is a great country, full of mythology about gods and goddesses. The world is still admiring the sculptures of this symbol of high spiritual attainment.

So, good evening to the modern gods and goddesses of Greece. I have come here to remind you of your glorious heritage. In case you have remembered already, it is fine, and if you have forgotten, we have come here to show you how to reclaim your glorious position. You are all gods and goddesses whether you remember or you have forgotten.

If the king or prince has temporarily forgotten that he is a royal, that doesn't mean he is not a royal. Sometimes the king and the prince, or the royal family members, have to go out into the wilderness, or into battle, in order to protect their country or to explore some new adventure, and they may temporarily have to leave their own palace. While taking adventure, they are so far from their own comfort and luxury, and sometimes they encounter dangers and problems. Then they may temporarily forget who they truly are. Similarly, we have wandered into this physical existence, and we have forgotten our true kingdom of God. In order to reclaim it again, we have to be reminded, if we cannot remember it by ourselves. Because we are already gods and goddesses, or at least God's children, there is no need to do anything to become God; we just have to remember.

The Spiritual Science

Unlike everything material that we can touch and hold, and see with the physical eyes, the Kingdom of God, the aspect of the Divine, is invisible to the physical aspect, so we have to use a different way to remember and to know it. It is very, very simple to know God, to know our Self; it's just that we don't have anyone to remind us. It is so simple that even children, from six years old, can see God every day. God really exists, and we can prove it to ourselves every day, every time. Just as we can prove with physical science that such and such matter exists, we can prove with spiritual science that God and the Kingdom of Heaven really do exist, and we can have access to it whenever we want.

Just as in the physical sciences some scientists can discover ways to prove certain things, in spiritual matters some people can also discover something and then share the results with all of us. The ancient gods and goddesses of Greece discovered such a science and they have left their footprints, their knowledge, behind for us to study. Some people go deep into this kind of science in order to assimilate the true meaning beyond the words, beyond the human language, in order to discover the spiritual knowledge, and they also can share it with us.

As in every science and study, whoever wants to know about it must study deeper and devote more time to the subject. Therefore, do not wonder why you do not know, because you did not have time to study very hard. Some of us have devoted the time to study and find the easiest way to assimilate in a short time the essence of the teaching of the ancient saints; and we can all share this outcome. It is not only time, but it is the sincerity, the deep longing in the heart to know the secret of the universe, that will bring you to the understanding of this wisdom. And once we understand it fully, we can pass it on to whoever is interested in the same subject.

Knowing God is the only virtue that we must acquire. Ignorance is the only sin that we must avoid. Ignorance makes us kill and hate each other. Competing with each other, we cause so much damage to ourselves and to everyone else that we think is not of the same opinion. Ignorance also breeds so many other evils, such as greed and hatred, and makes us suffer so much because these things also make us hate ourselves.

In Ignorance, We Hurt Ourselves and Others

Ignorance means we don't know that we both are God. All the scriptures say that God lives within this temple, so all we see here and everywhere else are God's manifestations in the physical realm. Because of ignorance, we make war with each other, and we become greedy for everything because we are not satisfied with the world. We came from the Kingdom of God where we never lacked anything, and so when we are here, we miss that kind of absolute comfort. We want money! We want a bigger house! We want all kinds of things because we miss all these. But it doesn't matter how many things we have here, it is nothing compared to Heaven, and so we never feel satisfied. And the more we have, the more we want and people accuse us of being greedy. Actually, it is not that we are greedy; it's that we lack comfort here. The only thing to stop this is enlightenment, knowing our true Self. That means we visit the Kingdom of God, our true Home, every day whenever we want, in order to know that we have something better and everything here is just temporary. We lose interest in these fake things because we know the true glory.

Ignorant, not knowing the true Self, we do too much harm to us as well as everyone around us. Look at all the poisons that most of the people bring into their beautiful temples of God: the alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, whatever poison, you name it, and, they are expensive! You pay expensively for poison to slowly kill yourselves. You think these will bring you relief, bring you bliss, and it seems so. It seems so, except that the long-term effect is terrible. There are more deaths every year related to smoking diseases than war can ever bring. So, don't even worry about war, we are killing ourselves already! (And also with alcohol and drugs, of course.) You know it better than me. You know it, everyone knows it, but they do it willingly. Why? It is because we lack comfort here. We grab anything that promises heavenly peace and happiness. In order to cure all these, we must know our Self. We must go to Heaven every day to get the true things for our spiritual needs so that we do not have to be subdued by all these poisonous substitutes, killing our bodies, numbing our brains, and damaging other people around us and causing suffering, misery and worry to our loved ones.

We have known that since the old time, most of the people who know God begin not to feel interested much in the world anymore, so they can forsake all the temporary comforts of this world. However, we don't have to do that; we can have both. We can also forsake everything because we will not truly feel the need of anything of this world anymore; but, because we are in the modern time, we keep everything as usual for the sake of being simple and carrying on our temporary existence until we go back to our true Home. Because so many gods and goddesses have visited our planet and blessed us with so much spiritual grace, our world has become more civilized, more modernized, and filled with all kinds of comfortable scientific equipment. We should make use of these as the grace of God. To thank God for all these because we feel grateful, we must know who God is. We must thank Hirm personally. We must talk to Hirm. We must listen to what Hes is saying to us in order to continue with this beautiful planet and to serve our brothers and sisters the way Hes wants it.

Meditation is Nourishment for the Body and Soul

We all want to believe in God, but sometimes it is difficult because we do not have a direct contact. We do want to be good to our brothers and sisters. We do want to share our wisdom and wealth with everyone, but we just do not have much.

We are here to show you how to achieve the thing that is always the deepest desire in your heart. The prayers, rituals and fasts sometimes bring us a little comfort and a little glimpse of God, but we must do more than that in order to know the complete true Self, which is the quality of the gods and goddesses. To do more does not mean that we forsake our work, forget our families, and don't eat and sleep and all kinds of asceticism. No, we carry on with our life! We just save a little time to communicate with the Divine. And, the more we communicate with the Divine, the more time we have because we will need less of every other thing - less sleep, even less food, less of everything that before we thought was so necessary to us. The body is nourished not only by food but also by spiritual grace. Otherwise, why is it that a person who dies cannot move anymore, cannot talk anymore, cannot think anymore? His whole body, the brain, everything is intact; why is he motionless? In the person who is dead, the soul, his divine Self, has left this physical instrument and has gone elsewhere. So that divine Self, that true Person, must be fed and taken care of in order for this body meanwhile also to function perfectly.

If we practice a spiritual meditation or contemplation, true spiritual prayer, that means we also take care of the body - we water the plant from the root and not from the leaves. That's the principle of the universe: ..."Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you." [Matt 6:33, KJV] "Lo, the Kingdom of God is not far; the Kingdom of God is at hand." It is very near, within you, and is there every second.

If the Kingdom of God is at hand, we can see it. I can assure you that we can.

If I can, and all of our people, thousands and thousands of people, already can, I am sure you can, and I can prove it to you immediately the moment you want it. When we have time for each other, you will see it right away. You might see the whole Kingdom in one second; you might see a little bit, it depends on you. Nevertheless, you will see something so that you can be assured that after we die, we are not going to hell. Life exists forever and ever, and there is truly Heaven awaiting us.

Earn an Invisible Diploma

In the Bible, a saint has said that he dies daily. [St. Paul, 1 Cor 15:31 KJV] Why should he die daily? And it is said, "Forsake the flesh for the spirit so that you will begin to live." What does that mean? They both mean the same. We can die while living - visit Heaven, come back again and continue our duty, and then go back to Heaven and come back again, just as if we own the two worlds. Today, after the lecture I will remind you, if you want, and every day you can do the same. It's as simple as taking the glasses off your face, and that is why many of us don't know. We think Heaven is something very difficult to attain and that we must punish ourselves for our sins; we must fast for many months, we must do this, that and the other. Why should we do all these? We are God. Every scripture said that at least we are the children of God.

If the prince is the son of the king, does he have to do any penance and suffering in order to be a prince? He is already a prince. The reason we suffer is we forget that we are princes and we let the servant, which is the wickedness, the negativity of this world, torture us. I am here to remind you, to help bring you back to the protection, and help you to remember that you are God. It's not by saying this that you will remember; it is by the invisible awakening of your own God power within yourselves at the time of so-called initiation that you will know that you are the children of God.

In this world, everything needs confirmation, a physical certificate or diploma, in order for us to know who we are. In the Kingdom of God, we have invisible diplomas and invisible education so that we can know who we are. And that, you will learn today, and then you learn it every day until you graduate. It doesn't take long to see God; it just takes long to become reacquainted with our own true Self again. We are so used to these physical bodies, this physical world, and the thinking of this world, that it takes a little while for us to truly assimilate the teachings of Heaven. Otherwise, it takes only seconds to know God, and every day you can know God again and again, until you truly remember. This thing cannot be achieved by listening, by seeing or reading. It has to be achieved quietly, all by yourself. Your Wisdom will be reopened and you will recognize your Self, which is God. But of course, I have to say something so you will be introduced to this Way of heaven again.

Q: What is Christ?

M: Is this not a Christian country? [Laughter] All right, since you pretend to be "not-knowing," I also will pretend that I know something and explain it to you for the sake of continuing conversation. [Laughter]

Christ is the name of the Divine Consciousness. There are many names for this Divine Consciousness. When someone is awakened, he or she is called "Christian." That is Christian terminology. In other countries and other traditions, they call the same Power a different name, and that is why we have so many so-called "religions" and even religious wars - all because of different terminologies. What do you call "mother" in Greek? (A: MITERA) In English, it's "mother," in French "la mere," in German, "Mutter." Are they different or do they all refer to the same lady who bore us? It is just a language problem.

We all have Christ within ourselves. We just have to remember it, and I will show you how. In case you still think Jesus is another person different from you, you can see and talk to Him during your meditation after you reawaken your own God power.

Be an Enlightened Ghost

Q: If life exists after death and people's spirits come back to Earth, what are the procedures and the reasons?

M: Do you want to know about ghosts or do you want to know about reincarnation? There are two types of spirits that come back to Earth. The ones that come back without the body are called "ghosts" and the ones that come back choosing another physical office to reside in are called "reincarnated." Actually, they are both reincarnated. There are many ways a soul can be reincarnated, not necessarily in this world and not necessarily in a physical or human body.

At the time of death, some people do not realize immediately that they are dead, so they hang around trying to talk to relatives and friends, getting frustrated, banging their heads and it doesn't hurt at all, trying to eat something and getting very frustrated. Sometimes they try to cause trouble because they do not want to accept that they have left this physical world and still feel attached to the atmosphere of this planet. Just as we have ignorant people, we also have ignorant ghosts, but after awhile they will be removed to where they belong. Depending on their spiritual attainment, their level of understanding of the Universe, they will be placed in different places.

And the souls that come back choosing another physical body, it is just to further experience the phenomena of this world until they have had enough, and then they will go and reincarnate somewhere else, or stay in Heaven, it depends. Some spirits choose to come back to this world immediately after they have departed, some choose to stay resting for awhile in between and then come later, some choose to stay somewhere else for thousands of years and come back, and some never come back here again. Actually, the soul is a part of God just as a drop is a part of the ocean. The soul is God itself, so it will know what it wants to do and it will decide at the time of so-called "death" what to do next.

It's just that if we train ourselves, we train this mind, this physical instrument, during our lifetime, then at the time of death, the soul will depart more quickly. The body and the mind won't struggle and we don't suffer. We know exactly where we are going, which is directly to Heaven, and we do not have to experience so much confusion because of the mind, not because of the soul. So in order to be an enlightened ghost, so-called ghost, we should be an enlightened human first, and then it's easier.

Q: You told us previously about reincarnation, and that spirits can choose if they will reincarnate or not. They choose freely. What, therefore, is the law of karma and what are the lessons that we have to learn in each incarnation?

M: Actually, we don't have to learn anything here. We just have to remember what we already know. And about the law of karma, whatever we do in this world will affect or come back to us, and some will follow us after this physical life. Of course, if we are not enlightened, it will follow us everywhere because the law of cause and effect is that whatever you sow, so shall you reap. But sometimes the effects don't come quickly enough before we die, so they are still there and we must of course take care of that. At the time of death, the soul can choose to be reincarnated wherever it wants and that always stands true. But the soul is all-knowledge and all-justice, so if it knows that during the lifetime it has done something that is not favorable for a higher dimension, then he will, by himself, choose to be reincarnated wherever circumstances are suitable to iron out this debt, or this obligation. That's why I said only enlightened persons have a higher or lower choice, as they truly can make a choice but unenlightened souls have not much choice.

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

Q: Do You believe in the final judgment and the second coming of Jesus?

M: The final judgment comes when we leave this physical plane. At that time, all the things, bad or good, that we have done in this life flash before us in what seems like seconds. We will find ourselves standing as a judge of ourselves, and because originally we all are God, we have to be responsible for whatever choices we have or have not made during our existence. And as for the second coming of Jesus, He comes all the time. He is within all of us, and whenever we awaken this Christ power, that is the second coming of Jesus Christ.
