Letters of Appreciation from The Best Hostess
|
After the concert, Master went backstage to express Her gratitude to the performers and working staff and later at a tea party, She also reiterated how much She appreciated their efforts. A few days following the Concert, She sent each of them a letter of appreciation for their outstanding performance and support on behalf of needy children. The fact that Master even wrote a personal note in each letter underlines Her exquisiteness, kindness, and thoughtfulness. No wonder She is praised as the quintessential Hostess.
The many guests and performers at the Concert felt that they had enjoyed a most cordial reception, because in Her heart and actions, Master deeply respects and cares for each person. Her nature is love, and this is manifested in Her outward behavior toward all people. The extent of Her meticulous attention is truly admirable. Nothing is overlooked; no person is slighted. Master is the quintessential role model for spiritual practitioners; Her life is Her teachings, and to share this portrait of a living Master with our readers, we have provided the following excerpts from the letters of appreciation that Master wrote after the Concert.
Dear Ms. Reynolds:
As a long-time admiring fan, I was delightfully surprised and honored to stand next to you onstage at the "One World...of peace through music" concert on December 18, 1998. I have always loved all your movies, and I have watched them all. I still recall the memorable scene in which you chased a policeman with a celery stick to protect the children.
In addition to being a legendary film actress, you are such a caring and humble person. Without your encouragement insistence during Mr. Peter Boyer's surprise, I would not have sung "Farewell Song". Thank you for your special encouragement.
On behalf of the children, I extend my warmest appreciation for your great contribution to the success of the benefit concert. Wishing you a happy holiday season.
Respectfully yours, Ching Hai.
